Whilst there’s no doubt that working from reference gives your artwork A sense of realism, when it comes to drawing comics, it’s sometimes better to deviate a little. This page from my tutorials is a little example of how changing things up slightly can make a perfectly good reference illustration that little bit more impressive on the printed page.
