Great skin. Works very fine in any resolution.

Yeah it does. CAD offers 2 different options for fullscreen skins: a basic image which remains the same at different resloutions (is scaled by back, top, side images), and a 'real' fullscreen skin (background matches the different resolutions / each in one substyle).

This is slick! IMO the best full screen skin yet. Unfortunately I am unable to give a proper critique as I have no real understanding of how to make skins so my opinion wouldn't really be valid. Wish I could do this though. Instant fave.

Oh no critique necessary! Your kind comment is more than enough.
And getting a fav is like getting whipping cream on a big portion of ice!
Thanks mate.

Which one? The .rar archive, or the included .cskin file?
.rar files can be opened with e.g. WinRar (shareware) or 7-Zip (freeware).
The .cskin file can be dragged into the running CAD skin to install it (skin is applied directly),
or you can drag it into CAD's Skin Browser (skin will be installed only).
Doubleclicking on the .cskin file installs and applies it, too.

I downloaded 7zip and was able to upzip it without any problem, look like it was WinRar that was causing the problem. Fantastic Skin btw

at first, i thought the preview is what all the skin has.
and so i tried it and then i see the animation on the cover when jumping to the next song.
It's AMAZING!
I'm faving this skin.

He,he! Thanks, man!
Hope you like the different substyles too.
If you haven't detected them, just see a preview (link in the description), and try them (Strg+leftclick).
Great you like it!

is really fantastic work man! actualy i don't like the fullscreen skins (is nice to screensaver hehehe), cause in the daily activities is difficult to use this
about the skin i say only: "amazing Γ.Γ" perfect graphics and tones and effects. to be better, lack only the CAD is a independent player and have a playlist ahhaha! Congrats my friend

Thankies Burns, for your kind comment!
I know, not many paople use the fullscreen skins of CAD. But I do them anyway.
Because I like the idea, and I use it on parties etc...
CAD is really great! If it would be a player with playlist and other features, it would be THE perfect player!
So I have to use F2k in addition.

once again you surprise us with some new and original skin elements and details.
what first jumps to my eye is the cool cover transition with the two squares sliding against each other.
the solution with both the progress- and volumebar is certainly very nice, although it lacks a bit a proper functionality, but that's okay with me.
what i really like a lot is the mouseover appearances for both the toolbar and ratings.
not to mention that the ratings in your "noble" styles are a class of it's own again.
what kind of amuses me is the fact that i often heard you complaining (at least i think it was you) about the tiny font settings in some of my own skins and that you now decided to go for some rather small fonts yourself.
since i like tiny fonts the actual setting isn't bothering me at all, tho.
all in all this is yet another great inventive skin from your laboratory and boy am i glad that it's a dark one.
thanks very much for the share, man!

Ha,ha,ha! You are absolutely right about the fontsize! That was me!
I think, I got used to it now.
About the progress and volumebar: there is a lack in functionality. That's because of the white button which isn't clickable at all. But I thought the effect is nice and somehow funny. So I left it as it was.
I am working on another animation right now, which is more usable and eyecatching too.
Thanks for your kind and detailed comment, my friend.
I really really) appreciate this!

Yeah! Thanks for your comment my freind! Always appreciated.
I started with the design of the first 3 styles, when I tried something different. The last one has more depth compared with the other ones.
Maybe because of the reflections.
I am working on a second version of "noble". So I will update the pack in a few days.

hΓΌbsch! sind ein paar echt schΓΆne Details drin (z.B. das "Artist")...

I've checked the preview in the link, in my opinion the last one is the one i like most. I'm not a fan of fullscreen skins (so far i haven't created no one)

barberioX In reply to Bayushi-Tai [2009-06-14 09:09:31 +0000 UTC]
Yeah! Thanks my friend.
Actually I love the last one most, too.
I made it by accident. A more different style than the other ones.
Fullscreen skins come in handy at birthday parties or similar meetings.
The guests like it to look at them.
But while working or surfing, you can't use them (obviously).

Bayushi-Tai In reply to barberioX [2009-06-14 09:34:50 +0000 UTC]
Yes, i get it.
The full ones are for those ocasions, or when you say " i'm want to listen some music while i fix this (whatever)" or when you're bussy moving from one side to the other of the house and everytime you cross in front of the LCD you just look by instinct.
It colud be cool make a full one but customized under a theme, for example, a bunch of boys get together to play rol games (the real ones with dices, not the software games) and always in this meetings the Game Master put some music inspiring the players and creating a mood.

Exactly! Although I don't play pen&aper RPG's.
But there are some occasions a fullscreen skin could come in handy.
