I've always like this image. It's up there with my altime favorites. It's so funny that I'm viewing it again at DA exactly one year after it had been first submitted.

Yep! I had noticed it again recently when veiwing your website and just sat there and stared at it, as it brought up the thoughts that had been running in my mind at the time I first saw it. I mean, I could relate to it, you know?

I know what it's like to live in this horrid place as you sleep. It's been called Lovecraft syndrome, and has had other names over the years, but what's in a name. All I know is that by writing, and creating,I seem to get some small amount of relief. Many of us do this without realising we are even trying to help ourselves. Mary Shelly had it. Her sister/lover had it as well. She dreamed of rats devouring her as she slept, and awoke screaming still feeling the pain of each bite, each piece of flesh torn from her. I am sometimes a bit of a smartass when it comes to my comments on other people's work, but I will leave this one alone, saying simply, I understand. You're not alone.

I'm obsessed with this. It seems alot of literary people have in the past had this in common, at least the horror writers anyway. I'm finding that alot of dark artists also have it in one degree or another. I'm also finding that the best therapy, all others aside,is to let it out in some form. I write, and do my dark interpretations of my art in my comments. I haven't gotten rid of the nightmares, but I know how to deal with them now. I actualy find myself looking forward to them at times. You, and I have this in common. You have your basement, and I have my attic. The tiny window on the world of my imagination is hacked from the wall of my cell like chamber. There's so much here to feed my imagination bringing me these dark dreams of which I've become so fond.

This seems very very exciting to me. I love the fact that the background is not totally flat or horizontal. This could be Halloween town from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Great job.

this does make me kinda dizzy.......in that "wow did i just drive that length of road?" kind of way. you know, when you space out and your mind is in a vision while you're driving? you wonder how your body was on auto pilot and you didn't crash?
um......ya. that's what this reminds me of.
ok. still lame commenter. *throws arms up in the air and walks off*

The point of view on this is incredible. It seems to be that of someone undergoing halucinations or shock, and the sky adds to it wonderfully. The figure with the sharp object is so nonchalent about the procedings that she might well be in her kitchen cooking up some yummy treat. Blood all over the place and the victim so obviously in disbelief really seal this one! Great job!!

*rubs eyes* Okay, this really fucked my head up. You captured those altered, skewered reality dreams I have where yikes...it's all toppled, twisted and turned over, GD this is fucking cool!! Am I making any sense? Hell no, but when do these dreams?
Congrats on capturing something so nightmarish. It's fantastic!
