thank you gloria. i look at farmers at work sometimes, and i'm now convinced that there's some deep contrast between the labour land requires to give fruits, and the peace the fruit images inspire.

Lovely... amazing color, great match with the black canvas. Wheat tilting to one side, giving the feling of movement...

Nice one I like the way the sunshine reflects on the crop. I was tempted to do a similar shot a few days ago - but I didn't have my good camera with me.
This year the weather's funny, isn't it? I was astonished to see that they had already harvested some of the grain fields when we came home from our Holidays on the 5th of July.

Merci, mon ami.
With us, it's not that fresh atm. Rather hot and sticky, and they say it'll stay that way another 4 weeks. We haven't had much rain here. The garden looks dreadful. And the only real place to be is near a pool. On the other hand, our first week in Danmark was rather fresh and rainy, but we enjoyed it nevertheless.

I love how sharp this came out! I think personally I would have tried to get more contrast between the nearest stalk (being perfectly in focus) and the others (right out of focus). Purely an artistic decision however.

i understand the point. maybe a shallower depth of field could make the real subject stand out even more. however i tried a shallower dof in shots i took before, and they turned out too much blurred and confused in the background, so i tried this way.
imho the weakness of this pic is some excessive symmetry.
maybe if the stalk on the right were in the center it would look better.
thank you for your in-depth comment.

I think you could have it with the symmetry, or at least a slightly different composure. Either way, still a great shot
