Description Peter Brötzmann blowing his saxophone with great feeling and intensity.

Many years ago, I was just a boy, I happened to listen to a few minutes of a strange concert, where the musicians appeared to play like each of them was alone on the stage.
Even if the whole ensemble sounded somehow messy, I could perceive a sort of fil-rouge, a theme (though definitely not a melody) and the fascinating sensation of a deep interplay.
At that time, jazz was for me something like... Louis Armstrong (his commercial side). Nonetheless, for some unknown reason, I filed that music under "jazz", and labeled it "experimental".
Several years after, I met "free jazz" (say, Ornette Coleman?) and I immediately got aware it was not the first time.

Now, this concert of Peter Brötzmann I listened to a few days ago literally flew on the wings of feeling and energy, and it made me go back to my years of "experimental" jazz.

Thank you, Mr. Brötzmann. Your music truly embodies the deepest, instinctive, original spirit of free jazz.

Stephano,
superbly emotiontic
again it reminds me of an australian movie, where they gathered the faces of people having orgasm. The dude is alone and having so much fun
Can I ask a higher res image to do what I do?

BTW, I was with a journalist and as soon as he saw the Didier Lockwood poster, told me the story of the guy, he refused to start a career to teach etc...

another perfect shot bro

hey bro, i am really honored of your comment and the ...
well it's true, a musician intensely playing often has that expression which depicts on their face an incredible pleasure or pain, so similar to the expression of people having an orgasm.
i did not know that bit about didier lockwood. it makes me think about sting, who stopped his career as a teacher to start singing, and about an italian singer, miss mara redeghieri (from üstmamò), also a teacher who started singing almost without any previous experience and revealed herself as a talented singer.

Stef,
image received, great
for didier lockwood, it was as a music teacher,
usually we say that a teacher in arts/performance doesn't have the talent to make money only by performing but has enough knowledge to teach to maybe more talented people,
Lockwood is exactly the opposite, he thought that he would be more useful as a teacher than as a performer

take care?
cheers bro
