The iconic bloody pickaxe. The classic Herobrine weapon of choice.
It has arrived in all its glory.
The page was a super creepy way to end the scene, omg. And now I'm filled with questions :0
Also, I want to comment now that I love how the outer lineart of Herobrine is red and blue. I love it when colors pop, and it aids with the glitching motifs that happen in the comic.

The way the last page dialogue went I completely believed you were going into a two person secluded adventure between Steevie and Hero in which they learn to love again. You have certainly thrown my rash assumptions out the window and have impressed the hell out of me personally. I am in full support of you and this tonal shift and am eagerly awaiting whatever comes next.Β

...Well that took a turn.
Everyone else's comments already seem to be theorizing, so I'm going to focus on the effect of that blood splatter, and the single mark and word DEATH. The page was already insanely creepy, with the darkness, the corpse pile, and the shots of Herobrine with his pickaxe, but those blood splatters with that singular panel? Absolutely chilling.
The fact that the Origin's glowing is either a very good sign for Steve, or a very bad sign for everyone else. Maybe a bit of both.
