Description
Morbent the Haughty, or, among ordinary people, Morbent the Mad. Being alive Morbent, the crown prince of a small but very proud state, categorically refused to use the shield in battle, preferring a second weapon to him. Armed with two falcions, the crown prince was always on the edge of attack without fear attacking the superior forces of the enemy alone. Although Morbent wasn't an excellent swordsman, his rage and unstoppable helped him to live out of seemingly deadly battles more than once. With each battle, Morbent increasingly believed in his invulnerability ( what is that can be - unbelievable luck or divine intervention?), and as usual it played a trick on him. The righteous frenzy of the crown prince did not save him from the blow of a huge axe, that stuck into his shoulder, almost cut him into two parts
Thirst for life and best healers of the state, could not save the life of Morbent. Morbent didn't want to die and agreed to extreme, but so necessary measures. Occult sciences and knowledge began to be applied to his healing. And after a while, the crown prince got to his feet. It would seem that the use of occult knowledge did not affect the warrior in any way, but it only seemed ... before his first battle after his recovery. The enemy's arrow pierced the head of the young prince (yes, he also never wore a helmet in battle) and his consciousness left.
But he did't die. When prince awoke, he saw a battlefield filled with corpses, mostly with the corpses of his soldiers. He lost the battle and most likely his castle-state was destroyed. Since then, he began to wander the world more and more like the undead. His clothes, skin and flesh decayed, until there was only a skeleton, but a living and reasonable skeleton (although gradually he lost the remnants of his mind). As a reminder of who he was, he only had his graceful falchions, not as sharp as before, but fully combat-ready, and the prince’s crown adorned with rubies, which rests on his smooth head only thanks to an arrow, that many years ago struck down him in fight.

Such a spell, LIFE IN DEATH, also exists in my catalogue pf spells. It,too, allows the body to decay (if preservatives are not applied regularly).
Because the state of living death is horrible, it is a Restricted Spell.
