So, what have I been doing lately? I've been doing research on an island off of Georgia's coast that houses a wildlife center. My research, specifically, is on the behavior of Jackson's Hartebeest (whose pictures are to come).

This is one of their animals. He is a Lesser Kudu, and his name is Funky. I got to see him up close and personal when the keeper let me go on his rounds with him. Funky had fasted overnight because he had to be knocked down that morning for some X-rays of his hooves, so he was being given an evening feed. Here he's in an isolated pen from the other three Kudu so that he can recover.

He's a handsome guy, isn't he.
