Hommage to this girl, who posed for Andrew Loomis before 1943, hommage to the artist who reveals us the purity of the women's body, and the procedure to follow.I had shivers while drawing her, the same feelings i had for the Buddha...
the feelings that i'm invited. It's wonderful !
I would thank from the bottom of my heart, SquirrelHsieh who advised me "Figures drawing for all it's worth" of Andrew Loomis.

It was fascinating to do.
Find the axis between the feet, the thighs, the nipple and the shoulder.
Find a second axis with the line of the thigh, the crotch, the belly button, the middle of the neck.
Then measure marks of the hips, the arms etc. around the two axis.
The harder is the head. You can draw the most beatiful lips... if they're on the wrong place, it don't work.
This is the first step a deviant told me : "putting informations"
I drew sensually the lines between the marks... and the most powerful began : the shading.
Putting volume, life... it's useful to know muscles, bones, etc.
I was 'invited'... It's...wow ! Like a drug...
(2B, 4B, HB pencils, and a sharp eraser to make highlights, a pencil to fade... that's all !)

Its like a pattern...i never had tried that way.but its interesting.. i like to learn the basic anatomy like other artist mastered where they know exactly where the bones and muscles are considered in their drawing and it looks wonderful

1943. Les moeurs étaient très prude à cette époque.
C'est un bel hommage.
Rendu à cette fille, mais aussi à l'artiste.
Votre crayon n'a que caressé le papier avec une tendresse.
C'est un magnifique esquisse d'une délicatesse et d'une fragilité.

Effectivement, les moeurs étaient très prudes... pudibondes...
ce qui n'arrangeait rien.
L'oeil de l'artiste est pur, il est impossible de dessiner quelqu'un
d'habillé sans le voir nu, sans sentir ses muscles, sa peau, son gras
jouer sous ses vêtements.
Impossible de dessiner quelqu'un de nu sans rien connaître des muscles qui jouent sous la peau.
Impossible de dessiner une musculature si on a pas un minimum de connaissances sur... les os.
(d'où mes crânes...)
Impossible, ajouterais-je, de dessiner sans aimer les gens, leurs caractéristiques, de les observer.
L'art purifie le coeur et c'est ce qu'il y a d'important.
J'ai vu dans une galerie d'art, des statues de femmes nues exposées.
Sur une affiche, l'artiste mentionnait une anecdote où un visiteur le remerciait en ces termes :
"merci de m'avoir montré par vos oeuvres, que le corps de la femme est pur."
C'est mon premier dessin, et je pense le recommencer.
Je préfère faire ainsi, plutôt que de poursuivre et risquer de rater complètement.
Les émotions furent très intenses. J'étais comme 'invité' ; ce qui me semblait hors de portée devenait accessible...
Une drogue. Oui, ce dessin est timide.
