I honestly thought this was a photograph. Even the slightly blurred lettering of "USS" makes it look like a photograph. I didn't, at first, notice the stars, ha. The only part that I would recommend working on is the yellow bordered platform, and the ... equipment? ... on it. It just seems a little... flat. Oh, and maybe the two spotlights in the lower left. Everything else looks perfect. And like I said, I didn't notice those right away. Amazing job!!

Thanks so much! This image is a few years old now, but it is still one of my favorites.
The platforms are flat because one side serves as decking for the cargo loading bays and the other side is exterior plating on the ship's ventral hull.
The spotlights are based on the drydock model from the movies. Some have even speculated that they are actually tractor beam emitters, but other than some glare or lens flare effects, I'm not sure what can be done to them.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about. By "flat" I didn't mean shape, maybe it just needs more color variation or something, like you said about the spotlights. Seriously though, amazing image!!
