Like the heat spiking not from fighting words but an undulating, muscular sex appeal that crackled with malice and the immense pressure emanating from the watchful gazes of three of the fighting elite who already held golden tickets... enough thermal and compressive force to turn coal into diamond.

Among those already-anointed on hand for this clash: the first woman to seize a berth in the tournament, the one and only Shanna, and one of the most recent, the former Queen of James Street, Vikki Ryan.

No doubt eager to see her good friend Liz perform, Shanna also noted to Vikki a more sinister, brooding presence watching alone from another platform... recently released from prison by powers from on high, or rather down below... Sarah Lahren. The Steel Serpent’s presence raised many eyebrows, rumor circulating that she was in town for some illicit business south of the Texas border; which, compared to the idea that she was there to aid with publicity, seemed more than a little likely.

As good as these three women were, though, none were enough to cow any of the three in the ring.
