Description
There's no doubting that Spider-Man 2 got so many things right. As a sequel, it is practically perfect in hitting the right emotional tones and that balance between comedy and drama looms so large. In fact, I bet if you were to place this film between any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies from Marvel Studios, it would stand up really well next to Thor, Iron Man, and even Avengers.

Doctor Octopus is one of my favorite of Spider-Man's villains. Nothing as a slag against Green Goblin, that story was told wonderfully in the first movie and necessitated its narrative but Alfred Molina's portrayal with Raimi's directing crafted an Otto Octavius that hits harder to the emotions I felt than the comics version's megalomania. That said, the Doc Ock movie figure was one of the few that I actually wanted to buy (as most movie figures tend to be on the "ehhhh" scale in terms of sculpt or even articulation). The figure itself still holds up pretty well, Toy Biz did not skimp on articulation and aside from having to super-glue Ock's shades to his head to keep them from sliding its a pretty great figure.
