Deunan and Briareos!I fucking LOVE THEM. XD
D introduced me to appleseed when we first met, and I totally fell in love with Deunan- she's so awesome. Briareos cracks me up the way that Masamune Shiro writes them in the comics. Why is it that his comics are an awesome balance of comedy, action and some real deep meanings... but the movies and animes always take out the comedy? :{
Anyway. THis is referenced from the new Ex Machina movie that's out, i picked up the artbook in SF last weekend. SO AWESOME~~~ I can't wait to see the movie. :3 they... gave briareos lips which is... weird. XD He's always had a sort of face-plate before.
If you've never seen/read Appleseed I do recommend it. Deunan is a human member of ESWAT- which is a sort of elite police. Briareos is also a member and is her loved. Briareos is a cyborg and he's just awesome with his rabbit ears. XD;;

yeah, I like how cute they make Briareos in the manga ^^ His ears keep moving all over the place XD and Deunan's got a plushie of him too! I really thought the movie was something else, tho...and you really captured both of them brilliantly

It's a really really good series. The second movie is very good, and the first is fun as well. The manga is very well written and drawn, and it's FUNNY.

I always thought Briareos was so cute. I followed the mangas when I was younger. Although the 1980s anime should have started at the very freakin beginning...and the 2004 anime did have bits and pieces of the manga in it so I liked that. But the newer one OMG it was sooooo freakin hot! I wish they would stick with an optic color for poor Bri. and his nose is suppose to be blue. Not red...not green...BLUE!!!

Appleseed is a manga by Masamune Shiro, author/artist of Ghost in the Shell. I like both, but I'd say that I'm more attached to these two than anyone in GitS. :3
