A long time ago, I got an idea for- of all things- a Felix the Cat fanstory.(Still like Felix, but I don't think I'll ever get the story done)
Alex was a character in an old Felix newpaper comic, but he never got used again...
Alex the Cat is Felix the Cat's look-alike twin cousin from Austrailia. The only visual differance between the two is that Alex has white fur instead of black. In the one story he appeared, back before a lot of us were born, Alex took a liking to Kitty(Can you blame him?) and, using a bucket of black paint, desguised himself as Felix in an attempt to get lucky with her- on the same day the REAL Felix promised to take her out on a date. What followed was a bunch of funny rivalry as both Felixes spent the majority of the time arguing over who was who, until a sudden rainstorm ended Alex's fun... Before dissappearing forever, Alex did one last prank: Covering Felix with WHITE paint.
Anyway, I feel that Alex had too many possabilities to be confined to a one-shot bit. As a result, I did some work on a (Unfinished) comic which talks about what would happen if he ever came back.
This scene follows a part where Alix tries to get ahold of Felix's magic bag of tricks, after having been tricked by Master Cylinder into going after it.
After convincing Skidoo that HE is the real Felix, Alex gets a rather harty taste of what that magic bag is capable of.

hehe... I've just recently discovered Felix (about five, maybe six days ago, I believe) and already he's won me over!

All I can say is bout time. LOL.
But then, I grew up with a Felix the cat doll and bedsheets.
He's one of my favorite dawn-of-animation characters. Like him more then Mickey cause he does more.

Just two things I don't get:
DID those other DVD specials listed on the official site ever get completed? I know "Felix Saves Christmas" did, but the others I don't know. They aren't listed on IMDB (Doesn't help that the website hasn't updated in ages).
There was also a passing mention of a new series in the works. No word on that either.

Actually, I don't know... I haven't even seen the Felix Saves Christmas story, though I want to.
I mostly read a few of the comics whenever one surfices (They're hard to find in comic book shops), and got one of the Baby Felix DVDs. I even saw the movie which I loved, though my mom didn't (Felix is a little too trusting in that one and she saw that as a problem for kids... Which I was at the time.)
As for a new series, I don't know of anything after Twisted Tales and Baby Felix.

I actually have quite a bit. Thing is, Felix is one of my favorites(Roger and Bartok kind of surpassed him.).
Like him a LOT better then Mickey and everything I got actually has a touch of inspiration from him. My own AVATAR character in fact has a backpack thats like his magic bag(A backpack is easier to carry around with you all the time then a carpetbag.) and this one picture was from a huge story idea I had where Alex actually steals Felix's bag and gives it to Master Cylinder.

Oh, by the way...Do you have this story written somwhere or is it still left in the foundry of creation process? Fanfiction involving Felix is quite rare these days....

Don't worry...sometimes ideas tend to get worked out by themselves...especially when you don't make everything to be ideal at first sight...Just like my current avatar - 2minutes-doodle turned out to be better than huge image that consumed half an hour..(but what can you do if there is hardly no avatars with particular character?). Good luck on your creations, both written and drawn!

Master Cylinder IS the Felix the Cat villian in my books... I mean, the proffesser IS keen on getting Felix's bag, but he's been a good guy on occation, Rock Bottom is only a bad guy cause the Proffesser hires him to be one, Master Cylinder by comparison, is always crabby, always mean, and always a badguy, in my opinion.

As far as I remember from watching 1958+ episodes, Rock Bottom made his first appearance as an actual criminal, who got jailed after Felix's investigation complete with arrest. Professor cooperated with Rock in the next episode, but it wasn't until few next episodes when Rock got hired as a henchman. In short titled "friday the 13" Rock Bottom had no order to torment Felix, but he did it anyway....

SOME parts of it did... (Assuming you ment the movie where Felix ends up in that wierd place with the Mizzerds and stuff.), but I was a kid at the time, so it didn't confuse me as much as it could...
At that age, I was pretty much stare and laugh... stare and laugh...

Alex was a cool character- the old "Evil twin" bit is a classic.
(My favorite scene had them arguing, and then punching eachother at the same time, knocking eachother out.)

OH MY GOSH! FELIX! that cat was my big-time childhood hero and STILL is! i luv felix the cat! i have some episodes from his show a loooong time ago 
i remember as a child seeing a felix movie on disney channel (classic disney channel actually which was 100% better than the current disney channel) and i guess felix's bag got missing and he had to find it or something. that, and i remember a sweet little fairy accompanying him. sigh. sweet memories...
