Thanks. Yeah, Bubsy's still one of my favorites. It's just sad that so many people are so quick to diss "Cartoon Animal Video Game Mascots" lately while ignoring that Bubsy 1 was actually pretty fun. After all, what is it that keeps those current mascots that are still so popular popular? Mario Party? Heck, that plumber needs to stop partying and do more adventuring... Sonic? He's currently fallen into the "New character every game" trap...

yeah true. I loved Bubsy..heck I have the original game and the second one...they were both alot of fun. Mario had alot of great adventures..though most of the newer one are either remakes of old games, that party game, or kart racing. They need a new adventure for him...like Mario is Missing...that was a great game where you were Luigi and Yoshi tagged along to try to find where Mario was. That was so inventive cuz you traveled around the world to find him...also learning about different places along the way.

Sonic...has just become boring since they keep adding more characters and such...it's getting to be as bad as Pokemon...it's like they wannabe them more than making Sonic have alot more adventures.

I also knw another game that sorta was not popular since well it was too Cartoony...that would be Joe and Mac. I actually beat that game about 10 times and still enjoy the game itself. So many great 2d character games out there..I love alot of them. Probably why I like traditional art over 3d art.

sure,it's in my "gallery". (i really have no pictures. only a photo of one of my dogs in scraps) you'll have to search for it though. it's called "the trouble with runes" or something along those lines. the first chapter is mostly a big quote (i'm thiking of getting rid of it and just combineing the chapters to make one big one) and the story isn't finished (and it's a long way to fished and i may have gotten the twins names wrong. i'm not the worlds best writer but i like to think i'm at least mediocre.

I actually did one joke with a Bubsy Legend Of Zelda Crossover... Lets just say the major line in it was "Same great adventure, but every once in a while we drop a rock on you for grins."

I did not get very far in the game the brief time I played, but my favorite "death" for Bubsy so far is when he steps on spikes and then flies all over the screen, deflating like a balloon.

You wont see Sonic doing that!!!

(I love how Sonic and Tails would wobble if you put them at the very end of a platform though.)

Oh, and Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 had neat things in it too! Noogy's a cool artist/animator.

Yeah- Noogy rocks. You know, he was a member on a Jazz message board I joined a long time ago. Got a bit of cool input from him...

Oh, and my favorite Bubsy "Death" was the falling from great hights and going splat bit. I actually beat the game, thanks to the magic of Roms.

Hehe.. I so want to play Bubsy and Bubsy 2. Do you have the ROMs for both? Also, what version is better... Sega Genesis, or Super Nintendo?

I think super nintendo (Shadow Bubsy actually looks like a shadow.) I really don't know where to find roms for either, as the website where I got Bubsy is no longer active(Stupid greedy game designers... I understand if it's a game that's still selling, but what about the ones that time forgot?), and I NEVER found a working one for Bubsy 2... I have the actual game for Gameboy, but it has this really rotten glitch where around the last level, there's a save point, but if you touch it and then die, it saves you as standing right over a bottomless drop. I ALWAYS forget that, and so I always end up seeing poor Bubsy die 5 times streight with no hope of survival.

Hard to believe a SNES game would be superior to a Sega Genesis one... but ok (how did the two versions of Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 compare?)

I've only played Earthworm Jim 2 on Genesis, but on that system, EWJ 1 has an extra level... And... that's all I know...

I think Bubsy on Genesis has a slightly different shading look to it, but when Bubsy turns "Shadow mode", rather then turning all black- he just flashes gray.
