Description (Let's have a lunch together)
Somwhere in Japan, the very beginning of Pliocene. Odobenin walrus Protodobenus japonicus foraging side by side with a couple of young sea cows Hydrodamalis cuesta. Protoodbenus was morphologicaly similar to modern walrus but smaller and more primitive in certain dental features (including much shorter tusks). H. cuesta was probably ancestor of more specialised H. gigas.
