Description Brief sketch of giant carnivorous spermwhale, "Leviathan" melvillei, from Miocene of Peru. Scientists discovered the skull of this creature supposed that medium-size balaen whales were its main prey, as well as of contemporary giant shark, Carcharochles megalodon, depicted on this sketch below the whales.
