So ... guess what I found!

A lot of these are actually rather old sketches, but I'll be picking up where I left off.

For those of you who don't know, I like to sit down and have a marathon of Courage the Cowardly Dog (and other shows that I might post later) and take the episode to sketch out a sort of gijinka (human-form) Alternate universe in my own style. Not only is it fun and nostalgic, but it's actually a great exercise when you have artist's block or just want to brush up on design. I'd highly recommend it to any artists out there looking for something fun to do.

Episode 1 : The Magic Tree of Nowhere - Oh my word, looking back on this I shudder at the anatomy and kinda wish I revamped him, but oh well. While I don't much care for this episode (I dunno, just didn't really strike me, I guess) I do like drawing trees so ... meh?

Episode 2 : Robot Randy - Why yes, I did base this one off Christopher Walken. If you've seen it, you hopefully know why.

Episode 3 : The Curse of Shirley - If you've seen my previous sketches, you'll hopefully recognize this wonderful creature. I don't know why, but for me any episode with Shirley is a good episode.

Episode 4 : Courage in the Big Stinkin' City - Schwick you delightfully creepy bastard. I actually remember this being one of the episodes that disturbed/frightened me most and yet it still has to be one of my favorites.

Episode 5 : Family Business - You gotta feel sorry for Basil (And no, it's not where my username comes from). When he's not being a sociopath, he's really a big confused kid. Really fun to draw too.

Episode 6 : 1,000 Years of Courage - I have no idea why, but I really don't much care for this episode. I don't know if it's the premise, the characters, or what have you. Still, it was fun drawing my rendition of Courage in a banana suit.

Episode 7 : Courage Meets the Mummy - This was a fun one. Both as an episode and just drawing everyone in their outfits. I had a lot of fun with Courage and the Mummy with this one. And I was missing Computer at the time so I added his little tidbit at the bottom.

Episode 8 : Invisible Muriel - It was either going to be Vindaloo or the random SWAT team that break into the house, steal Muriel, tell Courage to practice good hygiene, and then bail. In all fairness, though, Doctor Vindaloo is just too amazing of a character. There is absolutely no reason this man should have a medical license, but I am so glad he does.

Episode 9 : Human Habitrail - "It's Doc Gerbil's world ... It's Doc Gerbil's world ..." Now that anyone who has any memory of this episode has that little gem implanted in their mind for the next 3 hours, I will say I like this episode if only for that ending. Doc is just the right amount of creepy and eccentric to pass up giving him a bit of extra special treatment.

Episode 10 : Mission to the Sun - In retrospect, I do like how this kinda supports my older AU crack headcanon about Computer having once been a government android. You know the ship can't be computer mostly because A) He has too much of a sense of slapstick humor and B) Spoiler! He ends up getting left behind on the sun. So I like to see him as an upgraded version of his lost brother.

Episode 11 : Courage the Fly - I think I just got lazy with this one and decided to just focus on Di Lung. When I opened this up again, this wasn't even colored. Huh.

Episode 12 : Katz Candy - Return of one of my absolute favorite villains. I don't much care for how this one turned out (I feel his shoulders are too broad, his facial structure is a bit off, and it might have been better to revamp his outfit) but still, can't really go wrong with Katz. He's too much of a delight to be disappointed with.

Episode 13 : Nowhere TV - My one regret : Not putting in the time to add in Muriel and Eustace in their oh-so-fashionable heist gear.

Episode 14 : Mega Muriel-I mean-Computer the Magnificent - I couldn't help it. Computer is my favorite of Courage's companions. I could say it was mostly the amusement of Eustace mistaking Computer for a woman (maybe because he's so thin?), but to be honest I just wanted to draw Computer in that stunt outfit. It was so weird drawing him with messy hair, though.

Episode 15 : Bad Hair Day - That pimped out Doctor Vindaloo! I have no regrets (well, besides not getting around to refining and coloring this)

Episode 16 : Forbidden Hat of Gold - Just some quick head sketches of Horace Bagge and the leader of the monks. Not gonna lie, all the time I should have spent on this went to coloring Episode 14.
