Description
NOTE: I apologize in advance for King Ramses and his creepiness. I kinda bishied him to kind of offset it but damn that mugshot creeps ME out too.[link] (Part One)
I don't know why but I have had no drive at all. I think it is from all the stress that has been leading up to finals. And when I have no drive and I'm stressed, I watch shows. When I watch shows, I doodle. And when I doodle crap like this happens XD
Anyhow, I had a lot of fun with Courage the Cowardly Dog in the first sketchdump, so I went for another Marathon because ...well why the hell not? Because I have crap tons of projects ya twit! //smacks self// It was kinda funny seeing as I was showing a friend of mine this while it was still in progress and we had a whole bunch of fun talking and theorizing about the show using my version of the characters. In the end it has apparently been concluded that in my humanized/gijinkafied version the plot was twisted into the following (I would like to note that this was made in all silliness and really shouldn't be taken seriously, but I figured it would be fun to share) : Courage was an orphaned kid who was taken in by Muriel when he was still just a puppy. In a world where gijinkas are considered a step below humans, she could never officially adopt him, but he serves them as their obedient, young farm hand. Eustace, of course, sees more of the dog part of him than the person and as another mouth to feed he doesn't exactly get along with the husband, but Courage still loves his psuedo-mother Muriel and continues to protect her in this cursed wasteland. In his time living there, he came across Computer, an experimental AI unit that doesn't really remember nor care to remember where he came from so he never resolved to give himself a name. Unfortunately, whether due to the same damage that lost his memory or just by flawed design, he can't walk or move around easily, having to constantly be hooked into a power supply, though he does have the use of being internet compatible so he's become Courage's main source of information and advice. Not needing to eat, he spends his days in the attic out of sight and mind of the angry farmer standing as arguably Courage's only 'friend' on the farm besides Muriel, even if they seem to share a love-hate relationship sometimes.
This is why I need a freaking rest because my brain helps to produce crack like this ^ lol
Anyhow, make your guesses as to the episodes.
Did it?
Got your answers?
Okey dokey: Here's the Guide!
Episode 13: King Ramses' Curse - Holy hell this creeped me out. I have an irrational fear of zombies and the walking dead. I know the hollywood style zombie is impossible, but it's a horrible phobia that I just can't help and I swear I'll be seeing that mugshot in my nightmares. That aside, I tried to lighten things up by making him more ...living looking.
Episode 14: The Clutching Foot - There is something oddly intriguing/bizarre to think of Eustace being overtaken by a Fungus that turns him into a giant purple mafioso gangster. And I'm sorry, I just had to draw Computer messing with Courage.
Episode 15: The Hunchback of Nowhere - This was one of those rare touching episodes and I'm kinda proud of the pose. I know in the episode Courage is actually screaming during this part, but ya know as light hearted as the show was I wanted to capture that friendship they had.
Episode 16: The Gods Must be Goosey - I kinda wanted to add in the field of endless flowers behind him but refrained from doing so because I knew I wouldn't have the time. Still, this episode cracked me up. Especially at Muriel's casual 'well that's nice' attitude towards a Goose God who can conjure the power of the heaven proclaiming his eternal love for her.
Episode 17: Queen of the Black Puddle - I suck at drawing females. I try, but I just suck at it and I need more practice. I think I had more fun with her fish monster form.
Episode 18: Everyone Wants to Direct - Again with the undead! Gah! I was tempted to do human forms, but those were just as creepy to look at! Though, as usual, I did enjoy the scene with Computer, especially when he reveals what happened to the partner.
Episode 19: The Snowman Cometh - This episode was ...meh. I kinda felt bad for the snowman really. Being the last of your kind and on the verge of melting would probably drive me to madness and experimenting on other creatures too.
Episode 20: The Precious, Wonderful, Adorable, Loveable Duckling - Isn't he precious? I was tempted to do a doodle of him pouring tea for Eustace but the pose just never came out right, so I stuck with what I got.
Episode 21: Heads of Beef - Oh John Bonne. This episode kinda weirded me out, but overall it was also kinda meh for me. He was still rather fun to draw though.
Episode 22: Club Katz - Katz! I misseded you~! So here's Katz, rockin' his suit and mecha-farm-family. I remember amidst our theorizing my friend and I got amused by the idea that Katz was shipwrecked too and rather than get off the island, he decided instead it would be more fun to experiment on people and turn them into machines for his own amusement. So why mechs? Because I need the practice in sci-fi and also I figured that a battle between the washing machine and wrecking ball would be a lot more awesome if this happened (Come on, don't deny that the battle would be more intriguing as badly designed transformer-like mechs than standard machinery) and the insanity followed.
Episode 23: Revenge of the Chicken from Outer Space - The one that started it all. I wish I could have done him more justice but there is just not that much to work with! Sorry Chicken D8
Episode 24: Journey to the Center of Nowhere - An eggplant resistance who briefly took Courage as their leader to oppose the tyranny of the farmer and Muriel. Needless to say, this was an amusing episode for my imagination.
Episode 25: Little Muriel - Anyone who knows this episode knows the scene with the macaroni was more hilarious than it was heartfelt and touching, but still I kinda liked the idea of Courage taking the responsibility of caring for Muriel like a little sister or daughter while trying to find a way to get her back to normal. And gah! Muriel I just want to hug you! Even if she is a bit of a brat. And poor computer. Still can't move, even after being tossed around in a tornado. I don't know why but this scene was amusing to me, if only a bit sad. And first full body of courage!
Episode 26: The Great Fusilli - I never really was one for Fusilli growing up but now that I'm older I find him more charismatic or at least theatrical than before. He was a fun one to try and design, but listening to his dialogue and with the mindset of that random crack-theory in my head, as evil as he was he kinda sounded like a tragic character (I got this vision of some guy that had been abandoned at one point and used his magic stage and powers to make sure that he had plenty of friends and company that couldn't leave him even if they tried). Either that or I'm way too tired and overthinking a kid's show. Still, the new perspective was an intriguing one to consider for me I feel.
Pilot : The Chicken from Outer Space This was the actual one to start it all and it's so weird if you watch it nowadays because the art style is so different and there are different voice actors. I still remember watching the Scooby Doo VHS this premiered on as a secret feature at the end of the credits. In cartoons it wasn't too outrageous to show a character choking another whether out of anger or spite, but it is kinda shocking to think that in one scene in the chicken coop that they show the bodies of the strangled chickens in the background. It's nothing graphic of course. Just X's over the eyes and them laying in a pile, but I was still surprised they got away with that. And that scene where Eustace slowly mutates into a deranged, insane space chicken himself was oddly terrifying as a kid, but that was what excited us about the whole thing, I suppose. Anyway, thank you Chicken for all the fun, twisted, and amusing tales you helped make possible!
Obviously I don't own Courage the Cowardly Dog. Go figure. This is just fanart, but the human renditions were designed by me so if you use them, please don't be a thief and at least put a sidenote saying where ya got it from (or at the very least say it doesn't belong to you)

Wait...you made my favorite villain of CtCD (the Chicken from outer Space) hot?! Β Β
No, I don't have a crush him on; besides, he's already married. He's just a favorite villain of mine.

I'm not going to lie, I've considered it If only for the Christopher Walken robot XD. When I feel like procrastinating I've been considering doing more sketchdumps of old nostalgic cartoon shows to get the creative juices flowing (If not Courage, I have also considered shows ranging from Scooby Doo to Powerpuff girls to Danny Phantom to even Invader Zim) It's a decent exercise or warmup if anything. Glad to be of inspiration? XD

You should make this into a comic series. I have a feeling this would get a lot of attention.

Awww thanks. If only I had the ambition. I've actually been quite surprised, if not a little bit flattered by the response I've gotten from the last sketchdump.
Now if only I could get the time/drive to finish up my group projects and such.
Though, it's funny that you say that. I might be converting an episode into a comic as a b-day present for a friend of mine.
