Many thanks to those who commented on and fav'd Luxa. It was your enthusiasm that has encouraged me to continue drawing Gregor fanart.So... here he is. It's Gregor! ^__^
Obviously, the text that I added is not a direct quote from the book, but as I was drawing, the expression on his face seemed to say, "Uh... I'm not really sure about this whole 'warrior of prophesy' thing, Vikus... I think you might have the wrong guy. And even if I AM the 'warrior', I still don't know what the heck I'm supposed to be doing, k thnx." xD
Yeeeah... I'm not sure how I'm feelin' about that background. I wanted the view out the window to look like a Regalian cityscape. I'm not very good (or patient) with cityscapes. Sooo... yeah. That's the underland... yup. ^__^

So awesome, I imagined Gregor with brown hair. I don't think the book mentions what he looks like?

All it says is that Boots has brown hair and brownish skin.
I assume Gregor has those same attributes.

I loooove these books right now i am on book 4 And i didn't even know of it until the probably around december in 2011 and its all because of fire50 who told me about it. She is sooooooo awesome.

I'm an Ares fangirl. What's sad about that is that 1: he's dead *sob*, 2: He's an underlander, and 3: he's a bat. Sadness.

Now, in particular, I used to draw Riped like some sort of cat, like some gray puma with a rat tail and rat paws and claws and feet, but otherwise, he just looked like a cat with some long face. Lots of other fanartists do that. I want the animal characters to look correct.

Thank you. I've been rather proud of it. Actually, if you run a google image search of "Gregor the Overlander" it's the 4th image that pops up, which is quite baffling for me--to have drawn the #1 image of the main character of a series written by Suzanne Collins--espeically with all the Hunger Games hype going on right now.
I need to finish reading the Underland Chronicle (still haven't yet ^__^

Well, these are grat designs for the human characters... But I've never seen you draw animal characters in this style. Now if you can't handle the animal characters, then I'm sure there is someone who would be able to design animals to fit in with these designs.
Important thing to note would be that most of these animals won't have very visible whites in their eyes/human-like pupils/irises. But I'm sure it can be pulled off.

Yeah, I've kinda become sort-of arrogant with this drawing. xD I've discovered that when you run a google image search on "Gregor the Overlander", my drawing is the 11th image that pops up. So I was kinda daydreaming to myself thinking... "woooow... if Suzanne Collins ever does an image search on that book she'll see my drawing!!" 
So yeah, I discovered your Novel Blog when running my egotistical google image search. ^__^;

I found it by running a google image search. I usually do that to get a pic of the cover of the book. Usually, I only post that- and I try to make sure it matches the cover of the book I read. You'd be proud, though- I recently did a tumblr like posting in a blog on Neil Gaiman, and posted links to every one of the images.
PS. I'm glad to have found this site, though- lots of great stuff here!

He really looks like Gregor! If I had a mental image for Gregor, that's probably how I'd imagine him! It's hard to imagine him as the warrior, though. He's such a young kid...

Thanks. ^__^ I always love when I receive comments like this because it reaffirms that I am able to portray a character from a book that we don't really have a lot of "official" images from (no movie portrayals--not a lot of character portrayals on the book covers etc.--just fan art), and portray him in such a way that he is quite recognizable as Gregor, to the extent that people tell me, "that's exactly what I thought he'd look like!" Essentially, it let's me know I'm doing a good job as a character designer--which is kinda what I'm hoping to be someday. ^__^
I like the quote I gave him in this pic too. I know it's not in the book, but it's something I can totally hear him say. ^__^
