Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; both players draw 1 card, also the current Phase being conducted ends immediately. Once per turn, if this card has no material: You can attach 3 cards to this card as material, 1 on the field and 1 in each GY.

If the user of this card gets to choose what the opponent loses from their hand, does that mean they get to look at it? That usually has to be explicitly stated, since picking a card and gaining intel in the process is generally a much stronger effect that getting rid of a random card in their hand.

I'm not really sure on that front. The main point of this card was to push out a double-edged Trishula-like effect, and that one said it was your choice as well. If you have any suggestions for how to make it random for the hand, I'm all ears.

Huh? No it doesn't. Trishula's effect says:
"When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 1 card each from your opponent's hand, field, and Graveyard. (The card in the hand is chosen at random.)"
Maybe change the last bit to "(your choice, but the card in the opponent's hand is chosen at random)."
