I think you people know what inspired this little bit....As I search under "Fable", I can't help but notice numerous fics in which Reaver is revealed to be the Hero of Brightwall's 'real father'.
Although the idea is not impossible, it would still be more believable if Reaver was actually IN CHARACTER. Unfortunately in what I have read so far, he's not. He's usually doing something noble, like saving Queen Sparrow from an abusive husband (Yes, Queen Sparrow, who survived being shot TWICE).
Yes I know, he plays by his own rules, he could just happen to shoot said abusive husband. But no. It HAS to be "because he secretly loved the Queen"...
...Oh, and somehow ONLY Logan is the spawn of the EVIL abusive-rapist husband, because he's the undesirable child. Yet the child of Reaver is righteous and knows in her pure heart that Reaver is really a virtuous man that you can trust.
...I mean in Fable III He seems ever-so wrapped up in the Hero of Bowerstone am I right? I mean, throughout all of his scenes, he just won't stop talking and reminiscing about her... Right?
Well, I've said my piece, please try not to get offended. After all, I'm only venting here, it's not like I'm going to stop you guys or anything. I'm not really looking for an argument either, I'm just saying how I feel...

To be Honest though, I feel like Sparrow might either be forced into it for producing Children that are Heroes or just be a one night stand nothing more, nothing less.
I mean how long has Reaver lived? Does anyone REALLY believe he'd care enough about Sparrow to LOVE her? Pfft I laugh at that..

I always thought it made more sene ifΒ sir Walter Beck was the father of the Princess and Logan's father wasΒ well maybe some 'prince' sort of person from Aurora like it was some sort of political alliance way back when Sparrow seemed to be preparing for what was to come thanks to Theresa's fortune telling vision she gives Sparrow.
I think Logan wasn't unloved / unwanted he jut did an Anikan SkywalkerΒ and went all dark-sidey once Theresa showed him the future / and his trip to Aurora
I love Steven Fry as Reaver but I have no idea why there such love for such a loathsome self-serving narcissist creature as he. this is a man who destroyedΒ Oakfeild, sacrifices teens to the Shadow Court and has no scruples.

Although I don't see why the Princess isn't happy that Reaver isn't her father, considering the fact that he did try to kill her, not to mention that he doesn't quite have the best morality (or is it moral ? Ah, english ... xP But I guess I can hide behind the excuse that english is not my mother tongue, even though I really shouldn't ... xD)
As for the fanfictions, I agree with most of you: there are a lot of fics where Reaver is totally OOC.
But, I did manage do find one where their personalities are fairly respected (at least in my opinion), with Sparrow being good and where Reaver is both Logan and the Princess' biological father. And I really, really loved it

I like to buy into the Reaver as the Hero's real father because, idk, Logan doesn't seem like he doesn't have a lot of Hero in him. But since we never really saw him in battle or doing any Skill related things who knows. I also think that Sparrow and Reaver would have a relationship of convenience. It's kind of hard to imagine her settling down with an average man.Β
I imagine the conversation went something along the lines of "Shit the condom broke." and
"Reaver I'm having a baby and..."
"Tatty-bye!!!!!"
Sparrow just rolls her eyes and keeps going with her day.

I would only believe Reaver being Logan's "real father" if Logan was all wrapped up in himself and good looks, which he's not. All Logan ever wants is what's best for the kingdom and his younger sibling.
(Seriously, I don't get the "noble" Reaver (or any Reaver) obsession. He killed BARNUM for Hobbe sake!) Still, great piece, especially Logan's face.

Those fanfics make me want to puke sometimes. Some are really good, but others make me want to give out The Team Spirit Award (I kid I kid). Reaver is just waaay to out of character in some fanfics, I could see him still being a jerk in them, but being a love sick puppy. No just no.
Also in my head canon Sparrow hated Reaver's guts for betraying her three times, but near her death she respected him and even felt pity for him. She had the hots for him, but a relationship? Hell no, he made offers but she declined in many creative ways (a storm of fire was one of them). She gave him a few factories in Bowerstone (it was Logan who gave him complete control) just to keep him entertained. Reaver is not the Princess's father in my head canon because him and Sparrow were just friendenemies. Sparrow is good, (disgustingly good according to Reaver) and she would never ever sleep with him.
As for ReaverxPrincess that is an entirely different story and another rant....

Someow I first thought that the Princess was pregnant and the test results were saying that Reaver wasn't the baby dayddy... Still see it that way everytime I see this picture. xD As to ReaverXSparrow... I can see Reaver sudgesting it, like he does to the Princess, but Sparrow "politely" (i.e. throwing Blades spells his way) declining the offer. Also Logan isn't an undesariable child, he's pretty desirable in my book. ;D

The way I feel about *mynotsosecrethope* that Reaver is the father is that Reaver was the Queen's secret consort, and that he was in it because, well he's Reaver and it's sex; also that a favorable relationship with the quean would be good for him, and he *and Sparrow* got sick of the lame ass king that she married for power while Reaver was in Samarkand (of course, my version of Sparrow is pure/almost evil)

Emily (my princess anyway) is very neutral. She does wish to be righteous but knows that sometimes, being immoral is the only way tp survive. She'll choose any side that is necessary for her and her goal. She's also one hell of a gunner~ 
As for how Reaver feels about this...I'm in as much character as possible. He's not father of the year whatsoever, but knew she was his kid, and had suspicions that she would be a Hero (as he and Sparrow have that blood). He won't go out of his way for Emily whatsoever, he'd leave her to die if that was the more "reasonable" choice, though he does have a healthy amount of respect and wants to see how much she "inherited" from him. (I also don't think the whole "private party" thing is a big deal, he seriously wouldn't care if she was attractive.)
As for his feelings on Sparrow...dear lord, I really can't seem him "changing his ways" at all. He'll still be a slimy ass bastard from the very depths of hell and all that...but I could see him respecting Sparrow, maybe even liking her a little. Yeah, he fucked up her old gypsy camp...and pretty much helped her older son destroy Bowerstone in a sense...but that's just how Reaver is~ 
But...this is also Fable.

I only read one story where Reaver is the Hero of Brightwall's father. He doesn't love Sparrow, Sparrow doesn't love him... Teresa told Sparrow Albion need a new Hero, but Logan wasn't... the Hero's blood is too distilled, if you want a ne Hero, both parents need to be Heroic... and Garth is sterile. It's the Queen's husband who convinces her to have sex with Reaver xD (of course, Reaver is very pleased...) Quite a good story!

I have two different fanfictions based around Reaver fathering my OC Jack~ And I always put him in his natural character aside from the odd cutesy moment. Why? Reaver not being Reaver is not worth a Reaver at all. 'Nuff said.

My friend was writing a story where Reaver had an illegitimate child. Reaver did not care and tried to kill the mother.....Then he tries to shoot the kid later in life because he looks too much like him and people might mistaken him for me. Since the kid was good, I can see Reaver doing this to protect his horrible image.... it's more in character for Reaver than most people will make him.

Not only did Sparrow survive being shot TWICE, but she also survived a fall that (based on the devistatingly boring yet accurate research I did) most likely would have killed even a HERO. So yeah, fanfics suck if the characters aren't IN CHARACTER

I haven't read any fanfic, but the dorky, nerd-a-licious story in my head is very boring. My Queen Sparrow is Logan's mother, from a very happy relationship, (lol) and then Brightwall Hero of Fable 3 Is actually Rose's child. (Sparrow's sister from Fable 2) In my head, the whole hero ability skipping each generation makes sense to me, yadda yadda yadda. The one the downside is that this makes Logan and the Fable 3 Hero cousins as opposed to siblings, but they don't know that till later.
It's flawed and silly, but hey, whatevs

Reaver had fun with the Hero of Bowerstone I think, just because it was the first real adventure in a while. Otherwise, Reaver isn't the father type...at all. If Sparrow even suggested having kids with him, Reaver would laugh his ass off and kill her. (Maybe. She did survive a gunshot twice, Reaver may not want to waste a bullet on her unless he was sure she would die.) And maybe he just respects Sparrow. She did save his ass in the Spire.

I always thought whoever you married in the game before was the Princess' and Logn's father...like, it was left up to you like everything else......I know that the princess and Sparrow are supposed to be descendents/relatives of the first hero from the first game....or something.....and it IS likely that Reaver has illegitimate kids (200 years worth of sex, even with condoms nobody's that lucky as to avoid having a single kid out of THAT much sex) but he probably doesn't know about them/they were aborted-given up/he doesn't care....it doesn't seem part of his personality that he'd very...parental. It doesn't seem possible he'd love anyone either =\ so I do agree with you (also why is it that LOGAN is the bad kid?? He's not even evil!! He did what he had to for his country!)
