Finally! It's done!
FULL VIEW PLEASE!!!My submission for the Valentine's Day contest over at
This concept came about sometime last month. I wanted to do something with a heart-shaped flower, and I also wanted to put snow in it, since where I live, it's usually still snowing in February. (Although we didn't get much snow this year
) Anyway, in the picture, Vexen found Marluxia under the snow. It is not that close to Springtime yet, but Seeing Vexen's face just makes Markuxia want to... bloom a heart-shaped flower?
Vexen is happy as well, he finally found what he buried in snow two months ago. It's a representation of how powerful love can be, despite the harsh outward conditions around.
Yeah, I already know the whole "No hearts; No love" thing...It's for Valentine's day, and Marly's 'heart' is made out of a flower, or whatever...
I worked very hard on this, testing out new ways to draw/color pictures via Photoshop. It must've taken about, 6-8 hours or so (without distractions, WITH distractions it took a few weeks
) and I'm glad to finally finish it, and show it to you all! ~

The flower coming out of chest is a bit macabre but in a very good way.. Marluxia's smile is really beautiful in this situation, as is Vexen's expression. I love the ice, also because of Vexen and his specialty and such. I can see you worked hard on this, the outcome looks great.

...And oh? I wish we could have some of that snow! D: It just snowed a few nights ago, but right after that, the snow turned into rain, and washed it all away before morning...

Yeah, it snowed again on Wednesday, but it turned to freezing rain and slush...and then just pure rain. My entire street was flooded LOL

I....dunno actually... It began with Vexen freezing everything over during the winter months...including Marluxia, because it was his time of the year, and he didn't want Marly to ruin it for him...
...Then he realized that it just isn't the same without Marly around & dug him out of the snow. I don't know how Marly survived though....
