Description
I'm not as happy with this one as I'd like to be... I will keep experimenting and adding to it. I felt like I needed opinions on it before did anything else to it, though, so let me know what you think.

It's supposed to be sort of an ode to a movie I just saw for the first time- a reeeeally good movie- Immortal Beloved. It's about the life of Beethoven, and there is a scene where a woman he loves has just tested him by giving him a piano to play, while she and her father (who is doubtful of Beethoven's talents and therefore not willing to let his daughter marry him) watch from a secret area behind the wall. After Beethoven realizes what is happening, he storms out of the room, leaving the woman in tears and ashamed of how she behaved. That's long-winded, sorry, but I wanted to explain it a little. Again, let me know what you think so far.

I see that you are trying to catch all details. Thats good. I was searching for some piano through DA stock and also found thisone what u used for this pic. But i was lazy to work with that light what is glittering on the desk so if u can see this detail is killing this scene and is obviously montage.thats my opinion.
take it easy its a good art anyway...

I read your description, and several of the comments... And looked, again and again...

It's great... I love the feel of it. At first glance the model seemed just a little off... but then... looking back the 2nd, 3rd time...

It works. Well.

Great job!

Heh, I'm really obsessed with that movie, but no one else seems to want to give it a try. It's their loss!

My son... not sure really where he gets it from, but he's really into classical music.. I bet he'd be interested!

Well, if he ever wants to see it, you should know that in the first 20 minutes or so there are a couple boob shots and a totally nekkid woman!

It is tasteful, though. And it doesn't last long.

I think it's a fantastic piece dear, one you should be most proud of. The only thing I would edit is that white line on the skirt. Some might mistake it for poor cutting. I'd go with shadowing the bottom part and erasing the line

You're right! Yikes.. that little detail completely got by me. I'm going to fix it right now, before I forget!

There's something offputting about the angle of her head. Like it's not properly attatched. Like it's gonna fall off or something.

Lol, well that's how the stock image came! I'm not skilled enough to fix it without making it look worse, I fear.

lovely work! i love the vintage feel and the way the model seems lost in the background! again, glad you find my textures useful.

I think it looks fine - just for some reason the model seems a bit out of place, tucked away like that, though I can see how it fits in

She was a little hard to fit in there- I couldn't find the background that had the right architecture, but I guess it worked well enough! Thanks, Yana!

Jesu!

If you didn't put this under "Photo manipulation" I never would have thought twice about this; it looks great. The matching texture of the walls and piano give it great feeling; I love the light, it really adds to the dreary/somber mood of the piece. The model fits right in. This seriously is beautiful.

Heh, it almost ended up in scraps! I'm so pleased that you like it- I know I'll think of ways to edit it, but I'm glad it's okay so far.
