Thiiiiiiis is probably the most exposition-heavy page of the submission and the biggest callback to Colosseum. I'd have avoided it but it's important to how Mel was in space in the first place. And yeah, I could have ignored the Colosseum continuity. BUT SPACE! SPACE IS PRETTY BADASS GUYS!
It'll start actually being related to BA sooner or later just for now this is sorta a Point A to B thing. I LIKE the story of how Mel gets back to Earth before she goes to the underworld so I wanna tell it.

Nah they'll be back.
She doesn't have a lot of trouble moving with them but they make her balance kinda bad and they are very cumbersome - so she doesn't tend to carry them everywhere and might take them off if resting, in a social situation, etc.
Also, they are heavy weapons. And she is on a police ship. I thiiiink they'd not let her have them for the interrogation.
