Final page of my audition for
Damn. that was a really long audition. Probably longer than my rounds will be if I go far. Granted, I had my reasons for it. Originally I wanted to make a much longer non-BA related story about Mel's space adventures, and then end it on a cliffhanger that would lead into BA. However, this was back when I first heard of Burning Avalon and thought it was starting several months later than it really did.
I liked the space story though, and still wanted to keep it, so I trimmed it down a lot and made it part of the audition and an exploration of Mel's character.
Great learning experience, too. I am rather happy with this thing visually.
Thanks to for helping me brainstorm and consolidate all this.

Wow, this is only an audition? Talk about going above and beyond, man! Great work, and I'm definitely going to try to get through all of these today. I wish you luck in the final round...you and the UP/Tickety team seem (to me) to be closely matched.

Well, those two only make up half of the final round, right? I kind of went in assuming that UP's team would win (always seems to do well), but I'm no where near certain of that, at this point. I feel more drawn to Melody than to the Huitzi/Akeyra duo, and the art is of equatable quality. I think the final round will definitely be a sight to see!

So, yeah, this was beyond spectacular. And by no doubt one of the best auditions I've ever read. Both story and art-wise. You're going to kick some serious ass in this tournament! 8D

He really doesn't do alot with his cyborg-y stuff actually. It hinders him more than it helps him most of the time. The cons out weight the pros.

It took me a while to choose a color there. She'd paint her nails for sure, but in this style I'd only show them in a close up. Wanted to make them all crazy, like alternating colors or something, as punk girls often do that sorta stuff, but that'd take too much away from the coin one is supposed to focus on in that panel.
