This is a really great page on several levels...
The first is, throughout Doodles entries, Joey was always well, a nice guy, with the exception of Nobitsu (who was not only hostile but completely outclassed Joey on... every level) Joey always showed mercy, no matter how hostile the competitor was or whether the best thing to do was to kill the opponent quickly or at least run (poor, poor Oakley). ...But for the sake of his world, he left his clearly helpless and desperate opponent to her (apparant) demise. ...And his reward for compromising his morals for the greater good? One complimentary bullet from Kit, the meanest doctor that ever was.
...On the otherhand we have Nev, in the increasingly unlikely chance that she survives this tournament, she's at a quandry, in demonstating that she is the ultimate survivor, she crippled herself (even with a prosthetic, I don't think she'd be able to stalk or be stealthy as well) even if she wanted to, she can't exist as she has for the past fifty years or so...

Joey was really one of the nicest guys in the tournament. He's quick on his feet and can take down his would-be killers, but you're right, he does NOT kill if he can help it.
Even when he abandoned Nev to 'die', he felt terrible about it.
And Nev's permanently changed. Should she survive, she can't go back to her old ways.
Still, she's lucid enough that good treatment and years of therapy might actually help her now, as the human side has come back to rival the killer side.

So, in the last panel showing Nev, she was attempting to cut off her foot? Or just screaming? And what caused her to trip? The machines? Or was it a zombie scream, like in Zelda?

Awesome. I must say, this OCT got 2 superb finalists. If only we had some sort of time machine that could create pocket dimensions so contestants could spend as much time as needed and still have rounds at one day intervals.... XD

Whoa, this kinda...man... ...Ah, but it is the Cure, and this all does make sense/fit the setting. It's an amazing story, and no matter which way this goes, I'm sure it'll be a "WHOA" sort of moment.

Took nobistu a few hours and the ability in Joey is severely diluted. Dunno if he CAN grow his head back but it possible I fear it won't be any time soon.
