The transformation, or transportation a child, or person, experiences when reading a good book is apparent in the drawing.
For us, the observer of this drawing, it is not necessary to read what the actual words say, but it is to see the transportation of the mind absorbing the story as it lifts her from her present state into that of the unknown.

This is wonderful, your proberly use to people going "your work is fantastic" well...lm going to agree with them because you have alot of talent, and your artworks are all very simplistic(hope thats a word) and with little colour, and because there so diffrent they turn out to be very beautiful.

Thank you very much Nagame. Perhaps I'll do it someday. It's just that it seems a little complex.

Well, in fact it's a class work. We had to do some bookmarks for a contest and they have to be 4x20cm., so I couldn't do it bigger. At least the final version. The sketches and the original watercolor are 8x40cm.

wonderful!!! much like your other piece i have yet to comment on with the boy reading the book and the butterflies!! i love the tall skinny composition. its wonderful to start at the top and scroll down to see the origins of the emmerging flowers... its so interesting also that you seem to have incorporated text into the red petals--as if reminding us again that theyve come from the book. the girl is sweet--i like her simplicity and softness. well done!

I have to this picture - if you look in my gallery you'll see why
I like the softness of your shading and the shapes of the faces you draw. Subtle colouring too.
