The title says it all. In case you don't get it, Nintendo has changed the name to the upcoming Revolution console to "Wii." (Pronounced like "Wee.") I just couldn't resist drawing this. (I admit, I kinda stole this gag from the "Pet Rock" gag in Familly Guy.)
And no, I am NOT anti-Revolution/Wii, or anything. So don't start complaining if you can't take a joke.

Yeah, despite the flack it gets, I actually want a WiiU now. Though, I'm a li'l worried Nintendo's going to replace it with that new "NX" system, or whatever it is soon.

Well, I like the Wii U, I got it for Christmas last year, and its really fun! I don't regret having it. I just thought it be funny to make that joke, because of what people sometimes say about a bad smell. Lol

I love sea creatures too, the anthro sea people designs in the game are quite adorable. I even like the store NPCs, and such. Would love to see a manta ray character though. (Manta rays are my favorite sea creature.)

I think there were alot of simular jokes before it came out, but then afterwords I guess everyone grew tired of those "Wii" puns & jokes.

Well, it's not really a "change," considering Project "Revolution" was just it's code-name, and never ment to be it's final name.
(Like how the GameCube used to be known as "Project Dolphin," or the N64 "Project Reality.")

You think that's weird? In Japan the original 8-bit NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) is originally called the "Famicom," or Family Computer. (Even though it's not really much like a computer.)

Actually "Revolution" was just the "codename," while it was still under development, it was never ment to be the final name for the console. Kinda like how the GameCube was known as project "Dolphin," before it was reveilled.

Even before reading the description, I found myself saying the "pet rock" words in Peter Griffin's voice, so I definitely got the reference.
I figured it wouldn't be long before someone made this play on words. Others may have done it before...I just haven't seen it yet.

To be honest I didn't like the codename "Revolution" either. But then again I can't think of a better name for a Nintendo system.
