Description
With the first snow finally fallen on Smoky Ridge, everyone was excited with the Christmas spirit. Even the horses seemed to be more fresh than usual, with the frosty winter air.Jacquelyn tacked up Guess in the crossties as he peered with bright eyes out into the white-blanketed yard. The young stallion was even more animated than usual, dancing side to side and then standing stock-still as he took in the quiet scene of the snow.
At first, she led him into the indoor ring for a light exercise, but within a few laps of trotting around it became quite apparent that Guess was not going to be behaving well without some major excitement. With every passing of the gate leading outside, he'd try to spin around and whinny to the thickly-blanketed horses who were romping in the pasture. After trying to reprimand him and getting nowhere, Jacquelyn managed to keep him quiet just long enough to open the gate.
She trotted down the lane, past the friendly neighs of the other horses until they'd reached the cross-country course. With the open snowy fields lying before them, she only needed a slight loosening of the reins and a nudging of her heel to sent Guess into a brisk canter. He tore gratefully through the banks of powdery snow, gaining speed with every stride until he was firing like a bullet underneath her. Jacquelyn couldn't suppress a delighted, light-hearted laugh, happy to be enjoying the winter as much as the young stallion was.

FINALLY I'VE MADESOMETHING THAT I REALLY LOVE (and isn't sketchy, random, and/or half-assed)!
Sad that it's taken me exactly an entire year to draw Guess again . At least it's nice to see how much my entire has really improved (despite that I haven't worked on it AT ALL.) It's funny though, it's gotten to the point that I enjoy drawing humans on horses way more than the actual horse. It takes me ten minutes to whip up some lines that I like while it'll literally take me four hours to draw a horse that I still won't be happy with. Well, anyways.
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Hey there! I think your horses are amazing. I just love your art and work. I'm from Denmark and I'm on my road to a big website project, about getting your own "unreal life" webhorse. I would LOVE if you would like to draw for the website. So I will offer you a job (And of course I will pay you monthly). If you're interested in this, please contact my at my IRL facebook account: Monica Weng. And sorry for my bad english! Β Can't wait to hear from you. Best regards, Monica.
