I think Castiel and Ariel are very similar, they have the same curiosity about this world, they had saved an human and they have fall in love with.
Everytime that I see Ariel sitting on the rock watching Eric with her hair floating and her tail moving I see Castiel with his wings flapping watching Dean sleep. ^^
