Ok here is a very dramatic and depressing rendition of what I think may/could happen in the new LOTF book Sacrifice thats due to hit bookshelves the end of this month. It is said that Jacen Solo will make his "sacrifice" in this book and will take on his Sith name & that the person who will die will cause a big ration among fans.Now I've thought long and hard about it and unfortanetly my bet is on Mara Jade Skywalker to die either as Jacen's sacrifice or her sacrificing herself to save Ben or taking out Lumiya or all 3. So this is my depiction of what Luke and Ben's reaction will be when she is killed. I wanted to show their pain and bitter agony at her loss. So tragic!!!! I know it's a bit morbid and depressing but I just had to draw it anyways.
Once again the quaility of the image is terrible but I'm sure you can get the jist of it. Thanks again and as always leave comments

I'm with both of you--I'll be heartbroken, I know. I can't even begin to imagine what it'll be like for Luke and Ben--Mara's the spark in their little family, and things will indeed be darker if she's gone...
This is a chilling and very sad image, ~Beckrum...I'd love to see you flesh it out some more--perhaps with a lot of shadows on Luke and Ben, but light shining on Mara's lifeless face...

Great suggestions Falcon I was thinking along the same lines as you are as far as all the shading, shadows and lighting for finishing this thing. Hopefully I'll have time to sit down and actually do it *hee hee*.
I know this piece is so dark and sad but I just couldn't help myself I had to draw it because it kept popping up in my mind. But I will hate it if this comes to pass, and love it at the same time. I guess I'm just one sick puppy ha ha. Then again my favorite SW movies are Empire Strikes Back and Revenge of the Sith both very depressing tales but I love them because of the raw emotions the characters go through and the darkness they must over come or fall too. There is so much strength to gain from trials and even in loss but it all depends on the person you are.

I hear you Rockie. I love Mara Jades character more than I can say so to admit she may die in the LOTF series is hard for me because I really don't want her too and when and if she does die I too will mourn her loss. But if she does die she better go down fighting in a blaze of glory just like Anakin Solo

Yeah, I know. Killing her off would be such a waste, too. She's written poorly so often, they should at least keep her for a while longer and do her character justice. I'm still holding out hope that the cover is just a red herring and it'll be Tenal Ka who bites the big one. I love Tenal too, but not as much as Mara. 'Sides, Mara doesn't make much sense as Jacen's sacrifice. If he doesn't love his parents anymore, why would he still love his aunt who he gained in his teens, and never seemed especially close to?
