Description :3

My process is really simple. the hard part is figuring where you want to shade XD i guess looking at pictures of others work will help you get an idea of where to stick the shade spots.

my coloring style has been pulled from many artists, to conglomerate into my own style. i recommend looking at other tutorials and pulling what works for you to develope your own style of art.

i got lazy making this if you can't tell.

This is a random question but how do you sketch by using your pen tool smoothly? Basically when I use it to draw a straight line, the end of the straight line isn't pointy, basically like circle-ish, you know what I mean? I know I have to change the stabilizer or something to get it right. I did it but I don't see any difference. It's probably because I'm using a Mac for this application.

Nah its not your computer its your tablet driver.

normally when you plug ur tablet into the computer the driver will download automatically. But sometimes it doesnt and you get the issue you mentioned.

Whatever company your tablet is from go to their website and the driver should be there for download if you dont have it already.

If you have a driver but its just not on thats another thing that could happen. Google up ways to reactivate it if you have one.

this is assuming you have a tablet xD if you are using a mouse then your lines will always be blunt.

and as far as smoothness, i usually have my stabilizer very high. S-5 to  s-10

i actually have really shaky hands so my lines wouldnt be smooth otherwise.

right? i love marker tool cuz it's so sensitive to pressure i can make it look all painty but also really sharp like cell shading XD

I never shaded with the marker brush, I really should try it some time and see what happens! 0.0

I like your tutorial, simple, quick, and easy to follow.

haha, my tutorial is crap XD

but marker tool is magic, it blends and still looks nice and crisp. takes a bit getting used to, cuz any change in pressure will change how dark it gets.but really good for subtle shading

I do not understand your last tip though - @

BeefxCake In reply to KallySavoy [2014-03-18 09:09:51 +0000 UTC]

my last tip is more like avoid harsh edges. i shade in u shapes that look softer than if i just did two straight lines interscting, which makes a V shape.
