Description
A manic crow with a sick sense of humor, Casper Crow was a character created during the 1930's run of the cartoon "Bendy" and first appeared in the short "Love Sick Devil". In the previously mentioned short, when Bendy starts to fall in love he believes it's some kind of infection or disease so he goes to a doctor, being Dr. Casper Crow, though no one really knows if his degree is even real or if he is actually a doctor. The short then proceeds with several slapstick gags where Casper tries many unorthodox and deadly operations to "cure" Bendy with each getting worse as the short goes on. The end of the short has Casper discover nothing is wrong with Bendy, he is just in love, this angers Bendy as he was wondering then what the point to all the pain was, to which Casper responds with a shrug. Bendy gets mad and chases Casper with a large hammer smashing him over the head with it as the two run off into the distance.

Despite being portrayed more as a villain in the short, Casper would appear in more shorts and would become Bendy's second best friend with Boris the Wolf as several future shorts depict the three going fishing, clock fixing, construction work, and even ghost hunters. Unlike Bendy, who is a clever trickster, Casper is more of manic character always having a darker sense of humor and a pun always on standby. His hyperactive behavior often gets him into trouble, which is the root plot to most his shorts. Despite his more fun loving behavior, he has a nasty temper on him and isn't afraid to play dirty to settle the odds. The instrument he plays in Bendy's band is the violin.
