Thank you so much for your kind comments...you captured exactly whati wanted to achieve.
Yes the hand...when i did this i did not know about texturing to cover up or fix those things...its a shame because i my hard drive broke i no longer have the psd to fix it.
But aside from that..this piece still remains dear to me and i hope to other people too.

What a creative idea, and well executed! There is a wonderful elusive quality here. Truly as if the metamorphosis from one dimension to another, (death) is a simple transformation. In many ways, I believe it is. Death is the conclusion of life in this realm of existence. But of course for those of left behind the loss and sadness are so deep.
As strange as this might sound, I think this would make an amazing tombstone work. There is such focus on the transformation itself. There is promise in this image that I would think would comfort loved ones. Do you know what I mean?

Firstly thank you so much! And yes i think when i did it was was working purely on raw emotion but looking back i'm proub to admit that that kind of raw emotion brings out many different views in other people. I definitely agree with your view about death being a transformationa and think this would make a good tombstone work. Perhaps mine! lol. And although i didn't mean to add comfort i definitely see it after you pointed it out.
Thank you

There's something sad about it, yet it has that small light of hope. It really makes me think that a picture can say a thousand words. It even has that look that reminds me of funerals I've been to. Kind of a silence that everyone knows. A moment where everyone's mind goes to the same place.

Wow, what a rare comment. I'm so glad...you caught exactly what i was goign for and no-one has expressed it quite so articulately. Indeed, i don't think even i knew how to explain what mood i was going for but you've done it. I miss the person i made this for very much and i hope this lives as a testament to her always.
