"Wakey-wakey! Rise-and-shine! And the rest of the garbage people say when they want someone to WAKE UP ALREADY!" The voice cut across Wave's mind as it seemed to swim through a distinctively green fog. It was familiarity- she knew that voice- that snapped the heroine alert.

"Wh-what's going on? What have you done to me? My visor! What have you done?!" Tanya, Wave, was incredibly alarmed; gone was her visor and gone were her boots. She could feel her wrists held in painful restraints as she dangled from them above a strange green liquid.

"Oh pish! I haven't done anything to you! Well, yet anyway! And don't you worry your silly little head about that visor! I don't care one bit who you might be! But, seriously, you don't think a translucent visor's a really good disguise do you? 'Cuz, y'know. That's just plain silly!"

"What do you want with me, Tinker-Kill?! Why am I here?!" Wave cut the tinkerer's rambling short, trying to hide her fear but not her anger, to discover what she was up against.

"Oh! Right, how rude! See, I kinda wanted to play with your cute pink and white friend but this will work with you! Sure, you've got some fancy tech in those boots of yours and that visor! Oho, that is a lovely toy! But I know your powers are real... My gun would have killed you if they weren't! You can't use 'em right now though; those restraints are some pretty fancy space metals! Anyhow! See this fancy green bath I've run for you? My own special blend! It'll rip you apart cell by cell and when you're goop, I'll scoop out a whole bunch of those cells! Imagine what I could do with that?!" Tinker-Kill leaned on the railing, her face a picture of manic enthusiasm.

"You're absolutely insane!" Tanya declared, her mind racing to find a way out of being dissolved.

"Oh, I know that! If I wasn't, I'd just take DNA samples! Being insane is so much more fun!" The inventoress japed and shrugged, then turned to walk away. "Oh! And I'm gonna go bother your friends for a bit, ol' Pinky and Greeny, see what my gun can do! It's villain shtick to leave you unsupervised to your fate anyway, right? I doubt you'll be getting out of this one anyway! Ta-ta!"

Wave didn't bother to return the farewell; with her powers nullified by the restraints, that had begun to lower her slowly, she was still desperately trying to figure a way out of this mess...
