I've come to appreciate the comparison fans make between the Shine Sprites and the Dark Moon, like two sides of the same coin. It makes me think that Mario and Luigi are much the same in that regard.

Mario is brash and bold. He takes on the psychos that show up in broad daylight to cause trouble, who have no shame of making their actions known. His need for justice glows like sunlight, and his warmth attracts everyone around him.

Meanwhile, Luigi is a meek and mild man who's more than capable of holding his own. He takes on the monsters that hide in the night, in shadows and darkness - things he'd rather avoid but goes straight through them anyway, especially when they threaten those he loves. Moonlight may not glow as much as sunlight, but it matters all the same.

Okay, enough poetics. I'm going back to bed. XD
