I saw the contest for Pixar's upcoming film, and after watching the full trailer, I couldn't possibly say no. I got such "Land Before Time" vibes from this, it was sad but so nice and had such memories from my childhood. I'm quite excited for this film.

I had a couple ideas and set on this one, showing the two buddies Arlo and Spot making the journey home, even in rain and mud, but Spot looks out for Arlo by shading his face from the rain. Even if it doesn't do much, the gesture is enough to make Arlo smile.

This was tricky, but I still had fun making it with more textures than I normally would use.

The original size for this image is 8000x2200 pixels and the psd is almost 500 mb. Lately a lot of my files end up like that. I have too many pixels oO;
