i never saw that insect before, is like a grasshopper or a weta?

It's a stick insect, about 15cm long - the name's on the drawing, Daga Ephippigera, said the nice insect-expert in the university bug collection I visited to study this. I'm not sure it qualifies as a grasshopper.
