Firefox Splash
ANIMATED GIF IMAGE IN THE ZIP FILE.
YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE TO GET THE GIF IMAGES.
Do you like the splashs when opening an Adobe software?
Here you have that kind of splash for the Firefox Browser.

There are now more colors available: Cyan, green, yellow, violet, red, grey and blue.
Furthermore, the animation with the progress bar is now better rendered.
What is a Splash?
Splash is an add-on for Firefox and adds a splash screen to Mozilla products. It supports sound, opacity, CSS customization, custom images, and much more. You can add {appVersion}, {buildID} and {userAgent} to the loading text and it will be filled in for you.
Download it here .
Configuration
Open the Splash configuration tool from the add-ons menu.
Set the time to a value above 5000 (since the image has a time of 5 seconds). I suggest to use 6500.
Set the background color to transparent.
Click the download button on this page. Extract the image somewhere on your computer. To select the image browse until you find it and select it.
Hide both the text and the progress bar.

I don't know. This is only a template for a FF plugin. Wether or not you can use it on FF4 depends on the development status of the plugin.
