and research body armour. learning where to put armour, and how, is pretty important to drawing armour, and it's fairly consistent throughout human history.
also, modern space suits are largely designed with exploratory-/repair-minded EVAs, not combat. keep that in mind.

Thank you for the advice! I've been studying knight's armor a bit. Ah. It's all just very intimidating, but I think I'm starting to understand a bit better haha

go to google, search for astronaut suits and alter the design to your liking its a good way to start
