Description Made in Apophysis and Paint.NET

Please! full view this. The thumbnail looks absolutely dreadful! I would rather have no small image, than have that one, but I don't have a choice.

Full view is 2048x1536!

You actually remind me good old ~StarDragger and her popular digital works. This kind of pictures have quite a lot into them.

This deviation has been featured in my journal [link] and in this news article [link] , both for wintery/snowy features!

If you'd rather not be featured, just let me know and I will remove your piece asap.

Ooooh! That's pretty!!

Did you use Polar Inversion? It seems kinda similar to that effect...

My First Deviation To Have 2 Pages of Comments!! W00t!!

How I did this one is I had a fractal that looked like a fern, so I made 8 copies of the layer, set blend mode to screen(or something like that) and rotated each layer in multiples of 45degrees (0, 45, 90...) Then I flattened the image and duplicated the layer once more, (setting blend mode to screen, as before) and flipped it. I then merged the layers down and made the image black and white, Duplicated the layer as before and applied Zoom Blur, merged and colored with Curves

That is more or less how I made it, Hope that helps.

You have to render them as PNGs, its the button in the toolbar that looks like a gear.

omagrandmother [2007-09-23 22:40:37 +0000 UTC]

ohhhhhhhh! pretty.

this is nice. are you able to control the actual output or is it just hit and miss using those fractal programs.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BenRR In reply to omagrandmother [2007-09-25 00:46:03 +0000 UTC]

It is a little of both, actually. See you control the fractal, but its a bit of a random kind of control. You can go into Apophysis and come out with a cool fractal very easily, but if you are looking for a specific fractal, say 1 for each letter of the alphabet, it will be pretty much hit and miss.

Hope that answers your question, I'm just learning to use the program myself.
