What's in a name? A comic by The original: [link]I was looking for things to vector for my page and found this comic by *egophiliac and loved it. It holds a lot of meaning for me because my mother used to sing this song to me when I was young.
It took 6-8 hours, Photoshop crashed twice so that didn't help. So much pen tool! But I hope people like it. Thanks again to *egophiliac
The text and gradients are rastered which is why it's blurry, I will fix this someday. I would like to not upload my PSD but if anyone would like a part of it or larger resolution just ask.

Edit Again* - I changed the color of Sunny so it no longer changes and fixed Twi's beard.

There's a lot of different versions of the song. This just happened to be the one that my mother sang, and also the version the Egophiliac used in her original. But you are correct, that is defiantly one of the well known versions. ^^

Thanks. This was actually one of my beginning vectors when I was first learning. I am a vector critic now and my skills have came a long way since. When I look back on this now I actually cringe at a lot of things. But thanks for the complement! Hehe. ^^

I can honestly say.. I just started tearing up at that.... hell I started sobbing. How much I can relate to this is frightening.
story time
So, I'm sort of a more... secluded, distant, dark, person on the outside. (until I get comfortable around you or I'm in a party setting, then I'm like Pinkie. But I digress)
And my Mom, who I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about she would sing that to me... damn, that was my song.... Ever since I was a baby, She would sing that song to me all the time in fact, that is one of my first memories. I had, and even still have (and occasionally still sleep with) a stuffed lion with a wind up music box inside that played this song. It may seem a little cheesy, but my parents got it when they found out they were pregnant with me. They would wind it up and hold it up to my moms stomach, I told you, cheesy.
So I've had a super emotional connection to that song, and tying in ponies into that as well? Then have the pony in question relate to me? Holy. Crap. So freaking tear jerking.
Now I need something manly.... like a shitload of ponies.

Wow. I'm so glad that you enjoyed this as much as you did. Thank you for sharing. That's why I made it was that it reminded me of a memory that I might not have ever remembered for the rest of my life if it were not for this comic. And It doesn't sound cheesy. If I ever have a wife or child I would buy and do the same thing. My mother loved stuffed animals and to this day still does, so I inherited some of that. So I still have my childhood stuffed animals.
