Description
I made this for two reasons. 1. I wanted to try out Corel Painter. 2. I haven't drawn any humans in forever. This is Tex Avery's Red Hot Riding Hood. I was trying to go for a retro look but I don't think I achived it. I swear Red is Jessica Rabbit's long lost sister.

I vaguely recall the Tex avery cartoons, when I was a kid they'd have 'the tex avery show' on after Pokemon on UPN. The only thing I remember of Red was that she would swing her hips around xD

I don't use painter alot since I have 'ainter essentials' and I'm too lazy to fiddle with it right now, but in my older version I would put down the background color, draw the sketch and paint over it with the scratch board tool then blend the colors together with the 'just add water' brush. (way better than smudge or any of ps's blenders.) I've been meaning to get a full functioning version of painter but my pc can't handle that right now xD So yeah, the scratch board tool is wonderful for lines, sketches, chunky base coloring and adding in shines or hairs, if I had the scratch board tool in painter AND some layers I'd totally switch to painter permanently xD

I love the way Red sings myself.
never heard of ventriliquist cat. sorry. Droopy is cool though. He and Red were made for each other.

Oh yeah, she is a great singer
"The Ventriliquist Cat" is the name of the Tex Avery episode where Tex's usual dog is chasing a cat, but the cat being so smart buys a "voice thrower" and when he placed the device in his mouth, he throws his Meow Meow Meow to mailboxes, cars, even barrels with dynamite in them!! It's really a hilarious cartoon!! Tex Avery was so comical!! He started out on Disney but they really restricted him, and he really made the very first Bugs Bunny Cartoon "A Wild Hare" and coined his famous phrase "what's up doc?" Then Warner Brothers didn't let him do a certain shot with Bugs, so he quit and went to MGM
