Description yeah i'm creepy for photoshooting with dead stuff. Dead stuff fascinates me, because I have that chance to give them new life in my work.

--------------------------------------
This world is huge
The sea is huge
Some Islands have been yet to be discovered...
but many do not know a place
where death lingers the air
and once inhaled your lungs collapse.
a place called The Shore of Death
where man lost at sea
or where ships have once sunk
a shore where pirates and their maidens once swam to for sanctuaryΒ
but anyone or anything that sets foot upon the Shore of Death dies. No one knows why, for no one has lived past its very shore..............

My first thought when looking at this was "the little mermaid got sick of constant pain like walking on glass, and decided to return her legs". I like your style, eerie and somewhat diffuse and specific at the same time

Very interesting that is why I never do specific descriptions. I love when people can relate art in their own way, it makes it more personal
thank you for your kinda words!!

the death comes
swiftly in the night
carried on the waves
of the dark in sight

people and creatures
of all kind
meet their maker
you will find

The title reflects what you are getting at perfectly. I like the use of dark/dull colours to help give the feeling of death. Congrats on the DD!

This is an interesting photo actually. Not sure what you did with the lighting over there, but it worked out pretty well.

Haha, you're welcome!
Well, it still worked out for the best. What time of day was it? Looks like a gloomy evening, or something.

Close enough on my behalf, I guess. xD
But, yes the shadows are pretty sharp, so I should have known better.

Death is such a beautiful part of life. I'm fascinated with it too, which is why I practice taxidermy and collect furs. I see it as a second chance at life; instead of Leaving all of these animals pass on, rot away and have their pelts diminish, I can always remember how beautiful each individual was so they can never truly be forgotten. Do you have an appreciation for taxidermy as well?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

beyondimpression In reply to LynxBrush [2015-11-06 19:15:21 +0000 UTC]

I do actually.
I also enjoy when peopleΒ Re-Articulate the skeleton of the animal as well.
Though I have never done any of these myself, I find it great that there are people out there giving animals a second chance some how. Not everyone can reason or can come to face death, it takes a special person to appreciate it all.Β
I would love to partner up with a taxidermist for a photoshoot one day though, none where I live sadlyΒ
