Lockdown. After reading the newest...uh, maybe that is a spoiler? Oh well...yeah, we'll just say I got inspired. Was awesome. I tried to draw him once before in whatever funkified look I happen to have - he looked more like a dragon though for some reason. But eh, this was drawn out really quick, i'll have to draw him from a different angle sometime.TFC looking version as i'll call it is very reminiscent of the design from the Drift comic and the movie figure. I guess the way he looked in the comic inspired me more to try and draw him again.
Then just the TFA-esque version of him. I guess it works better for me if I try not to make them look exactly like the characters, because then they look too static for me.

But that's prolly just because of lack of colors. I imagine if I looked at the movieverse Lockdown and he were merely white plastic, I'd say the same of his head 8D

Lol, probably. The way he looks in the Drift issue 2 is very reminiscent of his movie verse version, though, much more aesthetically pleasing in the face. But since Alex Milne did the one in the Drift comic that's pretty much a super given.

still have yet to see the second issue of Drift. Nice to hear that they're bringing Lockdown into the IDW ongoing in one form or another. Even if it's from a side story 8D

It's nice to see general characters being used all over the place then just stuck in limbo in one particular realm I think. He'll probably make more appearances later honestly, unless something happens to him. Maybe Overlord will appear again sometime too, as he isn't dead either so can prance around the IDW storyline as well in the future. Now just need Slipstream and some other femmes and hootnanny power goes.

Overlord? Maybe. But he'll need a new body after all the damage the Wreckers gave him. I mean, pretty much his entire upper half was stripped to the bares.
Slipstream would be cool to see other than a cameo in WfC. 8D

Well yeah, I remember that. LOL. But he is still alive. Which is what I mean. The way they do the spark extraction in that series, he's probably already had that happen, so, he could possibly get a new body or something, who knows.

I dunno. They kinda dealt him a mental beatdown too. I mean, most of the reason he was murderous was to attract Megatron's attention. Take that possibility away, and what do you have?
He'd either not believe it, or come down with a case of robo-depression.

Well, that is true, but considering the way he is in the first place, i'm sure by now, he's probably been stewing around raging about it. He really doesn't seem like the one to get depressed, rather, find those who really fucked over his major plan and take his revenge on them for taking away what was his pride and glory, which was taking Megatron on face to face.
Overlord does not seem like the one to go emo, just my humble opinion though. He's too bat shit insane and calculating for that.

I'm not saying emo. Withdrawn and non-responsive maybe. That's what seems to happen with villains and madmen who have their purpose suddenly wrenched from their hands. They go into a non-responsive state until something bigger jars their consciousness back.
I could see him being non-responsive until he gets wind that Megatron is back. THEN going batshit loco and killing everything in sight. Assuming he has a body to do so with.
It would take a rather crazy 'bot to want to put him back in a kill-worthy body.

Well, couldn't help but think that is what you meant, lol. But yeah, there is varying definitions of "Emo" anyway, and in general I was using it as a slang term at best. I've seen that happen in a variety of different media and with villains before, I mean, it's basically everywhere in every fandom - good story telling, etc etc. I'm sure they even have a Trope about it honestly as it's pretty prevalent.
Then again it all depends on how someone views it, we'll never know until they actually work on that story or even hint at what might have happened to him. Apparently there is additional information in the trade paper back, though I don't think it mentions anything about him besides a few design notes (like who they made him reminiscent of) and just things about the Wreckers and some side story. Gotta get it, he's got a pin-up or two in there if i'm not mistaken.
And true, would be rather crazy - but, if they need the extra power, the Decepticons in some instances considering some parts in the comics will do anything. I mean, he wasn't COMPLETELY insane, he knew what he was doing and what he wanted. He just didn't care about how he went about doing it.
