Description
I was fiddling and trying to put flats on this other image...and for some reason staring at Alpha Q made me want to draw/design another one and so, the Prosecutor caught my attention- though I could have possibly done up a couple of my OC Quintessons (what? People do that?) but...no...that will wait.In any event, the Prosecutors have very, very xenomorphic heads...which I never really noticed before until I started looking for reference images of their general design. I haven't seen the animated movie in a million years, let alone some of the other comics that they appear in (I need to get a few, just to stare at the pictures. I know, sad.) He is going to latch onto your face and force feed you Quintesson essence. Now after reading that I think i've gone into the land of more disturbing then usual...I guess you can take that as you will.
As usual, he has my ability to cause Blender mouth syndrome...I can't...get away from drawing crazy teeth.
If he was in color, the optics wouldn't be so prevalent with the black, but I like putting them there for added expression. On everything.
I do enjoy drawing tentacles. Hahaha. Ha. I guess all the Flayers I used to draw added to that ability.
Ah, well. At least I got something done before the run away to Lala land.
Now if anyone even knows what the hell he is, I guess we'll see.

Fearsome! I can almost see ooze and other vile alien substances about to drip from the corners of its mouth.

Quintessons deserve more appreciation, if only for their awesome designs. And you have done a truly awesome job at the prosecutor model.

I totally agree with you on that - I wasn't that huge into them at first, but they have grown on me something fierce. I notice a lot of the fandom unless they are super hardcore, tend to forget they exist.
Thank you very much also!

I have a weakness for the "freaks" in Transformers. Quintessons, Mutants, Techno-Organics, Cannibalizers, Destructons, Reapers, Megadeath and his elite, etc.. They're refreshing, in a way, because they don't adhere to aesthetic principles of human recognition like most of the Transformers and aliens in TF fiction do. That, and I find the Quintessons as origin story far more entertaining than the divine intervention one.

Hehe, I must be front that I still need more studying in some of the other old canon they have for TF, considering I dabble too much with creating some off the wall fanonverse to gallivant in for myself (though this is not much of a stretch considering all the things fans create which is all over the place) - some of the age old stuff though, is so...so...well, off the wall for me. I just coin it to the time that it was made, but I guess it's my need to have some sort of relevant realism, despite the fantasy based aspect of course that comes with fiction.
I do not know of this divine intervention story(Unless I did and do not recall off hand because it is termed something else), and I do recall some of the stuff about the Quintessons in the creation of the Transformers - but there is so much different things in the multiverses...and some of them are so wacky, lol.
I do like the alien look of quite a few of them, probably why i've kinda become more of a Quintesson fan because of the different look.

Nothing wrong with fanonversing (as long as respect is maintained for the canon since disregard of the canon defies the purpose of fanon). I do it a lot too, and with zest. I like my 'verses coherent, big and plentiful, so everything I can get, I'll grab and try to find a place that makes it fit in with all the rest.
I'm certain you know the whole Primus-Unicron deal: the more popular origin stroy of the Trasnformers. Me, I like the characters and their possibility to influence, but I strongly dislike the idea of them as gods. And as creators of the Transformers, because I like my kickass giant alien robots without the whole "chosen people" aspect.
Quintessons make more sense to me. They are down to ground, look sufficiently alien to actually be aliens, are not particular powerful but ruthless to make up for it, have their own logic, etc.. They are a more intersting background story than "and then a god appeared in the sky" could ever be.

Ah yes, the respect. I try to stick close with canon as I can, despite the fact I take my own swing of things personally, but keep personalities and mix and match (considering how so many of the canon TF verses have so many different versions of all ready set characters)-and I would be in the same vein I think, I am crazily obsessed with creating stories, making it more coherent as of compared to some of the things they have though, at least for me and some friends. There are some things I prefer over others though, so some parts I just leave alone-mix and match parts from universes is how I roll, lol.
And yes, I've read up a bit about it, but for me, I guess it's opposite. I am far from being a super religious person, but I like the use of religion in stories and such because some of the dramatics brought around by it, through characters and other wise, can get quite interesting. Probably why I love shows that sorta dabble in meddling with religion, Evangelion comes to mind. Though I wouldn't think of it as a "chosen" I like them being their own thing, and some believe, some don't. Etc etc. Some of the stuff that goes with the canon stories though concerning Primus and Unicron are quite...weird to me. I kinda like to keep in thought that Cybertron is still just their planet...some of the newer stuff is beyond my recognition, unless it's Animated or the movie verses. Quite a few things I need to read up on though.
The Quintesson back story though is an interesting twist, but again, I guess the many different origin stories just lead me to go with my own, though, as far as they are concerned, in some points I wouldn't have it any other way.
But I guess it just depends on how you want to portray what you feel with your own setting or how you view it all in all. It's good to know there are a few who actually go above and beyond and dabble in the actual back history then just, well, poke around with certain things they like and do not know much beyond that. I've seen a bit of that on DA and in some other places, but I try not to judge those and their imaginations even if I disagree. It doesn't effect my personal ideas or concepts so, for that it all works out.
And wow that was long...and probably really confusing. I'm like, tired and out of it at the moment, lol. My apologies if some of that was just really off the wall.

Well, I am a little careful when doing mix-n-match. Thing is, I don't like being biased, so some things I roll with even if I don't like them simply because I already roll with something that is inherently tied to it. I can't count the number of fanworks I have seen that did use Orion Pax in cartoon!setting but ignored the existence of Ariel and Dion simply because the author doesn't like them. Or the number of times an otherwise clear G1-setting replaced G1!Blitzwing with his more popular Animated!counterpart. So, mix-n-match I try to do with utmost care moreso than my own likes.
Oh, I do like the use of religion in stories, don't get me wrong on that. But I don't like it when religion starts playing favouritism in fiction. Like, why would some alien people's gods exist but not others'? Transformers fiction never really bothered with the religion part anyway, it was just a case of deus-ex-machina good god vs. evil of the day bad god and the Transformers somewhat tossed in the middle all of a sudden. There's never been any "real"religion, just a forced battle of the giants that was used to highlight the overburdened epicness of some characters. That's what bugs me about Primus and Unicron in most fiction. I mean, Unicron once was a "harmless" planet eater. Nowadays, he is a consumer of entire realities. There's no balance anymore with them.
Meah, people who don't really know what they are doing... I stay away from them. I like playing with the fiction and making countless connections and references, plot twists and background investigation. And I love a well-developed OC. But I accept I can't find it with most. That's why I like it so much when I do can find some, like appreciation for the Quints.

Guh I am late, but I understand what you mean.
That is a good way of doing it, and i've seen some of what you are speaking of as far as some fans go, but my way of thinking now is just well, it doesn't really effect my perception of them, and i'll just keep with my weird ideas and still go bonkers over the actual canon on the off side, lol. I do find it off the wall for some characters to be left out just because one doesn't like them, but i'm sure everyone does that at some point.
And yes, the thing with Unicron is kinda nutty now a days, though I like the idea of the two existing, but eh, Cybertron as Primus not so much. I know they play with that though, sometimes I get really confused with a lot of things they tend to think up and rush all over the place with, but it seems alot of media tends to do that with it's universes like Marvel and other comic book type fantasies.
And indeed on the references and plots twists and etc, haha. I tend to do that a lot too, though as of yet I haven't really dabbled or shown anything if ever. And good OCs are hard to find, but i'm not one to judge others on what they create either, as long as they don't get too weird on me, LOL.
And hahaha, the Quintessons have grown on me...though some of the things i've read are so cheesy. I'll take a few snippets here and there and see how it turns out, but still, they are an awesome villian in the universe hand's down!
