Ok, so my friend asked if someone could make a tutorial for drawing hands. I thought I'd give it a try. I can't say I'm entirely satisfied with it, and I know I left many things uncovered. But at least I hope it helps somebody ^__^ It's my first official tutorial here so be kind with your criticism.Related content

Hmm, is there a maximum number of frames that you can have in flash?
And also, how many frames per second would you normally expect in an animation? >>;;

I've never really come across the maximum number of frames XD I've never done something that long. I'll find out for you
If you want to make just a limited animation for the internet, the default 12fps should be more than enough. If you're aiming at making "home-made anime" 24 is recommended. Profesional animated movies and anime go for 32. I personally work at 12 for stuff like my musicals, where you won't really see moving characters, I once used 20 for a short anime I made. My next project will probably be at 24. Keep in mind that the faster, the smother it will look but the harder it becomes to work with it

9fps might not be enough and it might look choppy if you're trying to animate something fairly decent.
Btw, I found out the max number of frames is 160000
yeah, I made a short anime, but it was short, like 2 minutes or so, nothing too fancy. I just used the same background. I did it at 12 fps so it looked rathre crappy, and most of it was just two guys talking XD
I'd love to see your work. I'm not a big flash wiz but I can always share a hint or two. ^_^

Ahh, it's going to be so hard to animate my ideas. But ah well... I shall try nonetheless! Maybe something good will turn out... [maybe!!!]

It's ok. I mean if you take your hand and tilt it to the side like grasping an orange but not infront of you but off to the side where if you right hand- right thumb- is nearer to you. Some parts form a 'mound' where you thumb and it's oposing finger the pinky dip inward on the right and left like a cup. I hope that helps.

Well you know if you pose your hand in a grip and rotate it your hand curves a bit inward where the thumb is. That's the part I'm having trouble drawing. Hope you feel better and all

Ummm....how about eyes? I really struggle with how to get them to look right when the head's turned. But then, that might just be me who struggles with that.
