Description
Boltpups are small breed dogs that are usually mistaken for sea creatures. They catch their food by emitting electricity in the water and killing their preys. The antennas/bulbs on their body serve as electricity pockets. if the bulbs stop glowing, the Boltpup will die.The meagerness of the pups are caused by the amound of food they devour. Boltpups live on highgrounds and hardly ever get down to lakes to eat fish. They do not need alot of food to survive.
The thickness of the antennas/bulbs on their body depends on the gender of the pup. Males will have much thicker antennas than females.
if you want any more information on the species, just ask :> I've tried to make this as clear as possible xD.
You can make your own boltpup for 7$/ 700
(this also took forever wow hhh
I might update this)

I really like this species! I'm sorry about those people who are being rude to you, you've done a great job with this species and I don't understand why they think it's such a big deal you're selling them. I'll be looking out for adopts

I suggest if you want to make a profit off your designs to sell them as adoptables, because then YOU are putting the effort in to draw the art. You're earning what you make type deal. This is a lazy way to make money off of people, you let them do all the work but get paid because of a species(that you didn't copyright, and it's based on real animals) that is just a dog and angler fish hybrid.
I'm sorry but this trend shouldn't be catching on. :/

"let them do a the work"??
I am literally offering customs and working on adoptables
shit because the description says if someone wishes to make one themselves doesn't mean I won't work on adopts and customs. I am not fucking lazy

"You can make your own boltpup for 7$/ 700"
Really though they can make one for free because you didn't copyright them and it's just a dog anglerfish hybrid. :/
Sure you're still doing adopts but you can't make people pay you money if they do it themselves.

I suggest readig this before calling my species a 'dog anglerfish hybrid that isn't copyrighted' mythka.deviantart.com/journal/…
my species has special traits I worked really hard on. I worked on a rarity chart, info and more. why is it not copyrighted do you say? do I need to smack a big C on everything I make? sounds like no-one owns anything.
and well if you are not willing to buy one, then don't. I've got lots of interested people who want to pay.

No you own it if you draw it yourself but you only own that art piece.
Say you made a line art to sell adopts with, that line art is yours, no one is allowed to use it.
But if someone were to draw something similar, THAT person's work is now theirs.
If you tried to tell someone that "used your species without paying" they weren't allowed to draw it that would constitute harassment because they aren't infringing on your rights.
You have no leg to stand on when it comes to the legality of it, which is really the only thing stopping someone from doing whatever they'd like. If I drew one of these things right now, there's absolutely nothing you could do to stop it. Having it as a "closed species" is a ridiculous concept, and the only way it would hold any water is if you put the effort and money in to have it properly legally recognized as its own thing. Just ask Sharpe19, she copyrighted a species for taxidermy mounts. :/

I'm sorry if this sounds rude. But 7$ just to make a character (Weather it's original or not) sorry but isn't that a bit cheep. I love the design I really do but paying 7$ just to make your own feels like you're too lazy to open commissions.
I love the design really much, but no one wants to pay 7$ for a character even if you say it's cheep. Just saying, if you want money open commissions

... are you actually serious
my last character sold for 200$
not only is this my only source of income, but 7$ can't exactly buy you a hamburger here
before you go on and bash more people on their prices, YES, people pay for this and compared to alot of people, this is bottom line.
why does that make me lazy? I spend hours on a few designs and where do I get? 14$ isn't going to break the bank either because those veggies here do cost alot more.
get a good education on the art business before you actually try to tell people their art, which they worked years upon years on, is expensive.
