A shot taken whilst at the British Motocross Grand Prix this year held on the Isle of Wight, where my sister lives. She managed to get an access all areas pass, so I was able to get real close to the action.Technical:
Shot on: Fuji Velvia
Shot with: Canon EOS 300V and 28-90m Lens on AF
Attachments: UV Filter, Circular polariser.

Amazing viewpoint - a shot like this truely shows how much of a difference perspective makes when setting up a photo. I don't know if I would have the guts to stand in your shoes at the moment - seems awfully close

I kinda figured a telephoto might have been used. I was thrown off though because the perspective doesn't feel like a telephoto at all. When I look at a shot that has used a telephoto I can usually tell right away - the quality of it gives it away - but not with this one, had more of a wide angle - mid range feel to it. I'm not sure what has given it that - maybe it's the perspective and the depth of field that you've caught here?

Hmm, not sure actually, but as I remember it, it was at the wide end of my telephoto (i.e 100mm) I know what you mean about the perspective, not wuite sure about this one, it's thrown me a bit, know that you've made me think about it

Great shot, there's so much action packed into the photo and the colors are really vibrant. I like how the rider in front is blurred, and how the one jumping is right behind him, great sense of speed.
